I've read in various threads that we now have warying hitboxes. It certainly seems so, it will explain a lot. When we run it gets bigger, when we sprint it gets even bigger and appearantly a scouts hitbox is now bigger when jumping than a heavy standing still...
I'd very much like to get this confirmed/denied by someone from CCP. And some numbers to go with it.
This might also be the reason behind many of the "terrain grabs" I've experienced lately.
Is this a fix like the previous "hit detection fix", you know, when they reduced all movement speeds cause the game couldn't keep up?
Can any player or indeed someone from CCP shed some light on this? I'm very curious to why this has been implemented and if this is is a temporary fix due to Dust not being able to run properly on the PS3 system or if this is for some strange reason a "design choice" that we are expected to live with (or die from) in the coming years? |

I understand it has been denied by CCP though can't point out the thread just now. However as a sometimes sniper I don't believe this for a moment. Running scouts are definitely easier to hit than they should be (as an example). |

It seems pretty obvious it's true doesn't it?
Considering that if it is true and designed as a hit detection fix I highly doubt CCP would come out and admit it. |

The CPM has said the hit boxes do not change size but several players have run pretty conclusive tests to confirm that at least the collision models expand under movement, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same occurs with the hit boxes too. |

What? You don't believe it but you notice that the smallest and fastest suit is easier to hit than it should be?
Isn't that contradicting yourself? |

I said that I don't believe CCP's denial. Not trying to be rude, but it was pretty plain grammar.

Not a happy panda... Cheap way out, and it hurts everyones playstyle I guess...
This explains the sticky walls where there should be no hindrances!
I'll even use the word "please".

1. CCP have directly stated that hitboxes don't change, but HAVEN'T said the same for collision detection, which is confirmed by players to be changing based on movement speed.
2. I haven't personally seen the dev post confirming it, but I've seen a few people claiming the devs changed all hitboxes to the same size in a recent update, meaning that Scouts (who SHOULD be harder to hit) are treated as being the same size as Assault suits - REGARDLESS OF SPEED. Scouts aren't easier to hit because they're sprinting, they're easier to hit because they're easier to hit.
3. The real problem for Scouts is the fact that narow spaces we can fit through become barriers when we're sprinting, and cutting corners tightly means we get stuck if we try it while sprinting. |

So lets assume this is all coorect...
CCP makes this change, something contradictory to the entire class system we have, and they don't tell us about it?
Really? |
