Few games made today are finished. Most have the audacity to make an incomplete game and make you pay extra for more content in the form of a "DLC" CCP will never make you pay more for this game. No one had to pay a dime to go from Chromosome to Uprising. You can accept that this game will be in a perpetual Beta, but it will cost you nothing but time to wait. You can call me a fanboy, and I'll wear that badge proudly, CCP doesn't run like the rest of the industry. I hope it never does.

Why pay to go from a beta to another form of beta?
Uprising isn't a finished product, yet allot of people here have spent money on DUST. Nobody made anyone pay a dime, but because money was spent, consumers have a voice in the matter.
Word of mouth is still a very good way of marketing a product, and so far that form of marketing is almost none existent in DUST cuz people don't wanna be "that guy" that told their friends to download it, get boosters, then for them to realize CCP is taking their merry time to fix the "perpetual beta."
That kind of thing works on the PC crowd. Not so good on the console peeps. |

I told my friends to start accounts, and even if they didn't like the game to keep the accounts so at least in the future they would have a ton of SP over the other new players. |

I do miss that "work in progress" title. Really kept everything in perspective. That is all. Eriknaught out. END TRANSMISSION. |

Reminder about "finished" games: Many games today are finished and sell you a complete package with you knowing what you get out of it with DLC for the most part being completely fair and extra to add upon the game. Gamers that whine about DLC are just whiners that feel a sense that they deserve more when they don't. Example: Borderlands 2 the initial purchase is to play with 1 of the standard 4 vault hunters that mirror in a sense of Borderlands 1 classes with the main story being against Handsome Jack with some very small side stories and quests to go along. DLC for Borderlands 2? Expands upon the world of Borderlands going past the initial threat of Handsome Jack for much more fleshed out side stories that don't feel like they were missing from the core game but instead additions to go through. Also many other games release with much more polish than Dust 514.
Dust 514 may very well become a very very cool game but at the moment its lackluster and clunky for a shooter when you can get a better shooter experience for only like $20. Sure Dust is free but sometimes you gotta ask? Is your time worth playing a game that subpar at the moment and just a game about possible potential? |

Do something else for a while. If you play this game every day for a year and a half you are going to be burnt out. The game is missing things, buggy and doesn't have the item balance needed, we all know that. These threads are as pointless as nipples on a male and you are fooling yourself if you think that it will be better because you make the same junk threads. Take a break and come back or deal with it. |
