Dear CCP..
Not sure how hard it would be on your coding team, but could the swarms tracking be changed so that when you launch your missiles they would go forward for about 10metres vice doing some funky arc then start tracking their target? As it stands, a lav can easily just drive towards you and even though you have a lock on them, your missile will skip over them and try to start tracking them from the rear instead. Meanwhile you get run over, or they just outrun the missile which technically should have hit them since it overflew it once already.

Very annoying. Especially against drop ships. |

you've never fired a missile system or ever seen one have you how they work its more than fine, missile were never designed to be fired from within 50 meters, that what rockets are for direct fire, at closer engagements.... use a plasma cannon. and the missile on this game should be re-looked at, they need counter-measures for missiles anyway, especially .. for Drop ships...
anyway those missiles going over the lav's and such is accurate... and those missile wouldn't really be turning around... or shouldn't at all they would lose track, and smash into the ground, or they would find a new target. its not very often they will re-target, but a S-a-a-m would/could as long as the launcher maintains track on the target. i believe this is how the missile should be reworked....
have to maintain a lock on the target for accurate hits, not just look around corner lock on and fire, then run off.. active targeting should be implemented. I'm not saying this because I'm a tanker or anything I'm purely infantry. |

The missiles should actually lose their lock and fly off in whatever direction they were facing. They should be unable to turn on a dime, making them somewhat dodgeable. Until countermeasures are added, this is the only defense vehicles have, dodging or straight outrunning them. |

I've been in dropships with good pilots and the swarms can't touch you.. The countermeasure for a swarm is good piloting skill.. Granted, there should be a couple of things done. The tracking suggestion as I suggested, (so that you as the launcher always have the same launch procedure, but as it stands the missiles just do something different every shot which is quite annoying and stupid) and also put a lock on alert on to vehicles/turrets to warn them they're being locked up. HOWEVER, that should be only done AFTER they fix the issue with locking as it stands you can lock onto objects that you are literally unable to hit due to obstacles or even distance to target. |

true.. I'm not complaining, they should be able to outrun it.. and I've seen good drivers just loose them in the terrain and structures. My beef is that if I have a lock on something heading towards me.. I should be able to hit it vice it flying over it and then trying to track it from behind. |
