I started on May 31. Which is pretty close.
This week (after the SP cap rollover) i have played only one match....will be first time since i started i did not cap on at least one character....and i usually cap on two...like 9/10ths of the time. I am not out the door yet...but i am sure looking hard out the window. |

Official release to me means whenever the Quantum Rise trailer for EVE Online came out as I believe it predates the first Dust 514 specific trailer. The bridge in that video (Quantum Rise) looks awfully familiar to the one in the Dust 514 splash screen.
I'm a noob who has known about Dust 514 for a long time. |

Start a new character and play in the academy matches, you will find nubs. Plenty of them...
Want to track how many new characters are "born" every day?

No one can convince me that all those new characters are vets making alts.
How many of them stay? I would say a small percentage as Dust is unforgiving and cruel to new players.
That is exactly why I like it.

As a newbie I almost wanted cause it was hard to learn and I keep dying. But after using and deleting 5 alts I learned how to pick targets based on the dropsuits their wearing. |

Small percentage? try NONE. The player base is dropping in everyday, not going up.
And an Unforgiving and Cruel game.... ? Yeah, i can see that working very well for CCP. To bad most people plays games for FUN, huh ? |
