I gain zero points from doing so. But i was able to keep a gunnlogi alive, and allow him to top the score board with a kd of 26/0.
He took a **** load of AV, and fought off another tank. But because I had his back, his shields never dropped below 50% the driver of this tank was nick from pro hick immortals. I don't think he realized he had a logi bro backing him until he was able to tank 7 AV nades without having to back off.
Despite the fact you ran over my first llav, I remained to keep your tanks heart beating for as long as I could. o7
PS: I did not splatter a single enemy during that game. |

I see this once they get a roadkill nerf. Clones (especially heavies) should be able to sustain enough damage from a LAV bumper if the LAV is going at low speeds. Most of my LAV kills I'm not even going at max speed. Sometimes I just accelerate and pffff there goes the clone. I've been wanting to do this for fun. Mind sharing your fit?
And CCP why no WP for repairing tanks from a LAV/dropship? |

The infantry repair mods on them are also really power full. It's god mode if you have one on you. No points for doing it, the lock on mechanizim is so poorly designed that I'm sure 99% of all drivers write it off as broken. Walking up a 2inch hill will break the link, and you have to then manually restart the cool down. You can't put it on your gunner which would actually be pretty awesome.
If LLAVs did these things they were intended to do, the extra HP would be justified. For now they just have a big bumper. Which is sad because, like OP said doing logi lav stuff is pretty damn fun. |

Nice man. Wish I could do the same with dropships but it seems I have to like tea bag the tank in order to repair and then I have to watch out for obstacles and ****. But I like the LLAV that actually play the support role, gives me hope for diversity (T_T). Still waiting for some type of buff to allow my DS to make ISK :/ |
