It really hinders this game mode. You spend 30 minutes getting your team set. You play your battle. Let's face it we are here to play today now. Waiting a whole day slows the pace way too much and then real life gets in the way for any constincay.
I want to sit down for a few hours and play as many PC battles as we can arrange.
I understand the concept and realise there are reasons for these mechanics.
But shouldn't we have an option to fight whenever both teams agree? We send an invite to attack a district in an hour they can say yes or no. Leave the same daily mechanics so people can't dodge. But wouldn't it be great to be able to play PC all evening while your team is together?
Just add an invitation to battle option please. |

I think longer PC battles would be great, but at the same time it would but a much bigger isk hurting on the losing side if they continue to receive no isk reward for the lost PC battles. I think the most I have died in a PC is like 8 times.. plus the loss of a few dropships. Total isk loss was around 2 million, and that was for a ~15 minute game lol.
I would certainly invest an hour of my time for one long, grueling, intense battle. I liked the addition of an immediate re-attack if you have 100+ clones left after the first attack. Granted, it led to my corp losing our few districts much quicker than we would have before the change.

It's a difficult one this - it's annoying that you have to plan your attacks at least 24 hours in advance but if you could just attack someone at a moment's notice, it would give defenders too little time to prepare.
It sounds like future iterations of PC will bring attacks that don't have to wait as long but have less/no chance of taking the planet and/or there'll be PVE on districts that outsiders can interrupt, so this sort of thing may be more what you're looking for.
edit - also, the old contract system sounds like it will come back eventually too. |

I just don't see any problems if both teams agree to the attack? They are all sitting around wanting to play so are we ? This is a game which implys playing right? Why force a mechanic without an option to play now.
Imagine the epic ness of playing 7 back to back corp battles against your rival! Could make for some great stories |

I used to play Armored Core V. In that game, you had a very long wait associated with attack unless the enemy agreed to come in to defend, in which case you could beat each other up all day long without stopping as long as both sides were willing. |

I used to play a couple MMOs which had bosstimers on rare monsters so they can be farmed for $$$. Some could only be fought once a day and it seemed like the same guys from the same guild were always camping them. The timer was 25 hours, so eventually the boss spawned at times they could not get it and someone else could.
I recommend this for PC timers. Make them automatically fixed and unchangeable, but the timer is a 25 hour rotation so eventually it will come around full circle. |

......the point taste is making is that when you PC you and your opponents have fielded a team already. Why not make an OPTION that would allow for a battle to commence straight away if both teams agree. It would most likely only happen if it was a close game, but it would keep up the intensity. |

What about instant battles that you have to deploy as a squad of 16 and you play whoever else shows up.
Or random corp battles that you can only play if you have squads of 6. Then you can play with other 6 man corps the left over four can be RANDOMS. |

This is simply the old corp battle mechanic that CCP have already stated they want to bring back. It shouldn't be associated with anything that could result in losing clones/districts though. |
