Rush is a game mode introduced in the Bad Company series, and will return in Battlefield 3. Rush is about one team protecting a series of objectives (M-COM stations), while the other team is tasked to take out the objectives and advance.
Rush objectives
The objectives in Rush are straightforward: one team defends the M-COM stations, the other team attacks. Once a pair of objectives have been taken, the defenders fall back and protect the next set of M-COMs. There are anywhere between 3 and 5 stages in a Rush map, with 4 stages being the norm.
Rush tips
Rush is a simple, yet complex game mode that requires good team play on both sides.
Attackers: stick together and flank the defenders towards the objectives. Once armed, stay around and protect the M-COM stations. Be sure to use plenty of medics to revive fallen teammates as well.
Defenders: finds key areas/choke points on the map and GÇ£dig inGÇ¥ and protect those areas. They can be hallways, roads, etc. leading to the M-COM stations.

Sota, I'm so sorry. You missed the bandwagon by at least 6 months. You would have liked skirmish 1.0 and have been similarly depressed when they removed it for "balance". |

If you want to imagine it, cross RUSH with STARHAWK. It was a framework for something genuinely fresh.
