I for one would like to see more bodyguard type game modes in games and think it would be a good addition to Dust.
The last one I remember playing was in: James Bound Quantum of Solace and was called: Bound evasion or: Bound verses (I don't recall which one it was and for that I apologize)
The reason I bring this up is because I recently watched this not too long ago.
I for one would think this to be a pretty good game mode as you could give each team 1 or more people to defend, as you'd need defenders to defend your person/persons and attackers to attack theirs.
This means each team spawns far away from each other, first to take out the others person/persons wins and that there is no team redline or MCC.
you can do this various ways as in: make a clone count for bodyguards and not the person/persons you should be guarding or make it so they both have a clone count however the clone count is much lower for the person/persons you're defending etc.
I know a lot of you might think: what about the blue berries if we had to defend them weGÇÖd lose for sure.
My answer: (better kill their guy/guys first lol) in all seriousness sometimes youGÇÖre just dealt a bad hand just do your best and move on, you canGÇÖt win everything.

yeah sounds fun, kind of like the Ghost recon game mode where a randomly selected teammate had to upload a virus to an uplink. |

This reminds me of the game mode "pop a cap" from the old n64 game perfect dark, or regicide from the halo series. It would essientally be a "team deathmatch"/ ambush style game, with a randomly selected HVT per team. The HVT would gain like 10-25 points per minute he/she stays alive but also be marked on screen to everyone friend and foe. Killing other players would still gain you points, but killing the HVT would gain you double or triple points. Every time the HVT died it would change to another person, in the case of perfect dark, there was only 1 hvt and it was chosen randomly, regardless of team. This game mode could be played as a way to get a certain amount of WP as a team using the inside of a small map consisting of an outpost or two. It could also be done up similar to Halos regicide, where the player with the most points is the target, with a varying amount of points a player or side gets for killing said HVT, also using the player location indicater idea. |

Reminds me of killzones "assassin" where a random teammate would be targeted and the rest of the team would have to defend them. The target would gain bonus xp for getting kills and even more xp for surviving.
You know instead of retyping "person/persons" you could just put "VIP" as that is the norm for this type of game mode.
You put "James Bound" ... did you mean "James Bond"?
In the end this game mode seems like it would be so fun that people would just ()

I actually did think of using VIP don't know why I didn't use it. (could have been reason above lol) |

Section 8 Prejudice VIP mode, where you had to protect the leader of the faction to the designated location.
Like the idea. |
