So I was thinking, what if you could set up the armor like this. Every suit has six points of armor damage, head, torso, right arm, left arm, right leg and left leg. All these pieces of armor would have a specific amount of HP that when brought down to zero will cause that piece of armor to break. When a piece of armor is broken, it leaves the body part it was protecting exposed to damage. So if an exposed body part is shot, it will become "dead" and cause an effect according to which body part it was. As part of this system, a dead body part can be healed with a nanite injection and armor can be replenished by repairing it. Another part of this system would be the "body damage". Your main body damage only goes down when shot in an exposed area. so while getting shot in the arm or leg wouldn't cause to much body damage getting shot in the head would.
Now here's the revolutionary part of this. As part of this system, any modules you would want to put on this suit, have to be placed in a specific armor part. Thus making it so that if you place a shield extension module in your leg, and that leg gets blown off you lose the shield extension bonus.
I hope you read this and are already typing a heap of hate towards this idea, but if you like the idea please say so. Direct from Beef Supreme 4, have a nice day. |

players are already complaining that their weapons dont "do enough damage". this would only make firefights last longer than they already do.
PS. i love how long it takes to kill someone. played COD the other day and OMG everything was uber OP. |

The armor in each body part would be less. So it could be longer or shorter depending on how accurate you are. If you zero in on the torso only, it can be short. But if you are all over the map, than it could take a while. |

Won't work with this hit detection, but it would be a cool effect if armor plates on dropsuits broke off.. |

This idea would only work in a fantasy land where hit detection works properly. That aside, yeah, it Would be pretty cool. |
