I'm inquiring if this is an isolated issue that deals with my TV speakers or is it the game mechanics. It seems when an LAV is coming up from behind going full speed, it doesn't make much sound until you hear the crack of your bones as it crushes you.
It also seems odd that LAV's don't easily show up on your radar when they're in the proximity. If its a shotgun ninja scout or someone with a low profile signature, I could easily understand. What is the rated profile signature of LAVs and even tanks for that matter?
Keeping your head on a swivel and constantly monitoring your surroundings is of course always the best solution, but when engaged in a firefight its not always possible to watch your six. Still, as loud as LAVs normally are while zipping around the battlefield, it still seems from time to time that one can be practically on top of me (or actually on top of me) without me hearing a sound from it. Is surround sound the way to go here? |

Very true, usually I try to have something blocking my back. At the very least to keep me covered from enemy fire; however, battles are fluid and you're gonna be exposed sometime. I'd just like to minimize the risk by at least knowing if I can hear things behind me. |

Yes, I've run around the corner only to stare down the end of a tank barrel thinking "If my radar can't pick this thing up..." |

Hmm, so the consensus seems to be I'm screwed unless I have a box glued to my ass. Welp, at least I know what I'm working with, thanks for the feedback. |

Hmm, I guess I'll be spinning around in circles then. Even If I can see them with the Rift, I sure as hell can't hear them as things are now. |

The LAVs should be on the radar, but some how, aren't even when they are running through a pack of teammates. Who's radar, or whatever scanning tech it is, should pick it up and relay it to everybody.
Well, its slightly more comforting knowing that it isn't just me. |
