although true that the laser was nerfed for being op at one time, the game has changed.
I have a class dedicated to the Amarr. I am happy that scramblers remain their strongest point. i however cannot believe that there is a suit whos main bonus is lasers when from a farther distance an AS rifle can kill at a faster rate.
the new update made bullet spread farther, this puts a laser user like myself at an extreme disadvantage. It puts me in the soil compared to what other weapons do, I might as well be using a scrambler.
at least make a laser with smaller reach than a scrambler pistol and beef up its attack. Then I might believe that this race is balanced. |

I agree LR need some love. I remember in beta I feared them, like a light saber with longer reach. I used an HMG back then. man I miss those days because no one survived for long. |

Giving them a wider range of optimum would be a nice little buff. 30-80m instead of 60-80. Inside that range the gun is pretty good dmg wise. Just don't tell your enemy that or they might walk out of it. |

I have the proto laser rifle profincency lvl 4 and with complex dmg mods it slices through people but I can't aim the thing because the iron sight sensitivity sucks the iron sight. Sucks needs a scope I mean really! Amarr made not memitar so get the peice of paper scope off and give us a monster scope like the scramblers... Lazy. |

I still find it rather ridiculous that a Blaster Assault Rifle has a longer range than a Laser Rifle! @OP In some matches, roughly half the people used LRs. Those matches were very scary. Now it's a rarity to see a single one.
@Ordrian No surprise there. TARs are supposedly placeholders until rail rifles are released. At least now ARs have 30m optimal and scramblers have 50m (if I remember correctly from the blog) |

I think the LR should not have the damage bonus drop to 0 the second you let go of the trigger. there should be a timer on the decrease in damage so you can stop the beam for a sec and then keep firing a lethal beam. It would actually make the passive skill worthwhile as it is rather useless right now as you have to reload between firing most of the time anyway.
I want to be able to manage the heat on my weapon, not just fire until it's about to overheat then reload to have enough ammo to do it again. |
