Lots of discussions going on about respecs these days. Many just are scrubs that want to run FOTB (build) or whatever this builds op weapon. Some just totally frucked up their sp because the descriptions in the skill tree's suck. There are those that say absolutely no respecs. I can see all points so i offer this as a solution:
1st respec costs 5 million isk
2nd respec costs 10 million isk + 5% biomass loss (5% of your skill points will be deducted from your lifetime)
3rd respec costs 15 million isk +10% biomass loss
+ respec costs 20 million isk + 25% biomass loss
fist one is pretty easy to figure out, lets take a mec that has 10 million sp
2nd respec: merc looses 10 million + 500,000 skill points
3rd rspec : merc looses 15 million + 1,000,000 skill points
+ respec: merc looses 20 million + 2.5 million skill points
( i know i didn't do the match 100% correctly, was just an easy example to follow) |

There will be no more respecs. However, you are free to read about the the skillback booster that CCP is looking into.

I've come to the conclusion that respecs should not be allowed excepting for two things. The first is already part of the game I believe and the second an idea I had.
(1) Respec for when an overhaul is done to the skill system - not when individual skills are buffed or nerfed
(2) At 2 million SP a new character is given a one time respec so as to erase any mistakes they may have made while learning the game |
