This is more directed at my fellow players, so, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but this seemed like the best place for most of the people to see it.

The hmg is a ****** gun. It's probably going to stay that way forever. CCP wanted the gun used for defense, so they made it short range, and gave it a wide spread. Then, they took the damage down to a near unusable level.

Now, the simple fact is, Heavies have been complaining about how utterly crappy the gun is since the start of Uprising. Now, the devs did a little work on it, but it's been ridiculously slow coming and only tiny steps. Last I bothered with the gun, it couldn't even fight across most of the streets in the game.

Just give up on it. Go with an AR. You'll be able to do everything the HMG does, at twice the range and a couple of times as effectively. Keep the heavy suit even. Great defensive strategy.

In all seriousness, CCP, you guys really screwed up the hmg, and your "fixes" have made it kind of useless outside of point blank. I skilled out of Heavy at that last respec, and I am never looking back.
