If CCP won't turn on friendly fire, can we report people for griefing? A blue followed me around the entire match running me over with his car and blocking my line of sight wherever possible. I spent a half an hour trying to stay alive with this douchecanoe trying to get me killed. |

you must have either stole one of his objectives during mordus challenge or stole his vehicle at some point.....
or he was just a douche and I call that emergent gameplay..... call your own lav and ram him till you both blow up or quit the match and enter a new one where he isn't...
problem solved....
however I do agree that this would be a far more interesting game and would solve a lot of present issues (and creating new ones) if they would just turn friendly fire on...im all for that |

@Seymor, well, I've never seen the guy before personally, at least. I spent a week blowing up LAVs in between Mordu's objectives, so maybe I angered him then. I make a point not to steal people's cars, I just blow them up.
Emergent gameplay lets me shoot someone annoying me. |

start button -> then select Leave Battle -> X -> Yes in answer.
You non-friend will still be in combat and you will not be with them.
Winning doesn't matter in DUST, nor does staying around for grief dealers. |

There is a few dbags doing that. William Ty (I think) was trying that on me today - then he got hit by the tower snipers I was trying to clean up. I lol'd
Not the first time though. Had losers pushing me into the open with LAV's, standing in front and generally being sad cases. Just ignore then is the best thing. I suspect they are victims from previous pub matches. |

Sometimes. I have lost clones when in the 'open' area. In my own redzone though, never. |

Had this same type of behavior perpetrated on me a few times. The guy would ram me and pin me against a wall push me out into a group of reds and back off leaving me to be shredded to bits. Pull out in front of my line of fire allowing my target to escape
Just general douchebaggery.
Leaving the battle is not really an option for me once I have invested time and ISK into the battle.
Leaving battle means no payout so any dropsuits you may have lost are not offset by earnings.
No SP is gleaned from the battle if you leave, so time is wasted.
Most importantly, my Squad needs my support so leaving the battle is really just not an option |

Agree completely. Also leaving the battle would be viewed as 'victory' by them. I refuse to give them the 'tears' they so clearly desire. Have to admit a red sniper taking a bead on them is pretty damned handy though. |

Sometimes a LAV driver stopping by and "blocking" your line of sight is trying to: A) cover you from enemy fire B) offering a pick up C) asking for manning the turret D) thinking you are an afker and tries to "punish" you
... and grief too
The night before LAV nerf i tried to invite one player who has hidden behind the container in red zone. I drived to close too him and pushed him accidentally. Not lethally but he freaked out and started to shoot at me. So i left. Looking for another willing to help. It was on my alt character (Alter N Ative) in the Academy skirmish... |

In EVE, griefers can get shot. That's why it works. But in a game where no matter how much I grenade, car, or shoot a guy, I can't get rid of him, they need a solution for griefing. |

What CCP defines as greifing is a much taller order than most other games. It would have to be something more than annoyance and something more than what you as a player are able to prevent. |

I will admit that sometimes grief snipers. They have to meet the following conditions though:
There has to be 3 or more sniping
The snipers I grief have to be doing awful. If they have less than 5 kills when the match is half over they aren't pulling their weight.
My team has to be losing. in which case I'm blaming the 3 cowardly skinbags sitting in the hills thinking they are clever. |

Iron Wolf, I'd say the lack of friendly fire puts... almost any persistent harassment by blues as griefing.
The only reason that you don't have to police this stuff EVE side is that anyone annoying you, you can shoot. In this game, that isn't the case. |

Only thing like that I see are the blueberries/smurfs stepping infront of me to try and steal a kill and getting us both killed in the process, other then that one little fker when I was spawning a LLAV (not to murder taxi but to get my squad mates to an objective fast) shoved into my spawned LLAV with his baloch killing me in process then stole my LLAV to playmurder taxi, he got2kills then nuked by a tank and cost me 113k ISK.
Not to mention the little swines who blow up an objective you are hacking (thanks for that challenge mordu) or they shoot around you or melee you to make you stop to defend yourslef so they can steal the hack or the gun turret use from you, I tend to look at the radar anyways but its annoying to think someone is that stupid |

Shooting me has stopped me from hacking only once.
After that I just strife while hacking to mess up the attackers aim. If I die then oh well, at least I died doing my job. Thanks to this mindset I don't have to worry about smurfs taking me off of my hack cuz...ya know... I don't care.
113k ISK is not that big a deal but the thought of someone stealing from you is really annoying. |

some of the blues that do this are new peeps that dont know not to shoot everyone they see i have messaged them before and they stop. i have accidently shot peeps when i have spawned and they were in my face and i couldnt tell which side they were on sometimes i do get in someones way or line of sight but i am trying to get around them and out of their way. i run solo and i don't squad up. i try to assist where i can.. if you see me while you are hacking im not trying to steal your hack i am covering you if the enemy is surrounding you i will help you finish the hack before we both die...i do screw up sometimes but it isn't intentional..... good hunting fellow dusters |

I feel ya. I only solo when sniping and even then I create a squad just so I can be leader. Placing the "Attack" order on enemies make it easier to track them. If someone joins my squad then I start placing those orders on enemies near my squadmates in order to give them a heads-up of there situation and grant bonus WP if they get the kill. |

I admit to tricking people into dropping their hack last week. Had CCP told us hack assists counted up front, instead of changing the rules halfway through the week, that wouldn't have happened.
Unfortunately, CCP doesn't design their events well, and they run them even worse. :/ Had hack assists not counted, it would have been nearly impossible for me to grab 100 hacks without using that, admittedly deceitful, trick. |
