So I did a quick search on ferroscale plates and saw very little posted regarding them so started this thread, apologies if it is already out there.
So I really like the new reactive and ferroscale plates, I think they offer some nice benefits and drawbacks compared to normal armor plates, but my beef with them is they cost more CPU and PG. I think they are already balanced by offering less protection for their increased mobility and even less protection for increased mobility and self repairing. Thus I think that their CPU and PG should be equal to their regular cousins.
The way they are now I haven't even been able to try them out because I can't squeeze the PG for them out of my Amarr logi suit., so I ask you out there using them: is the lack of speed penalty really worth the dramatically decreased protection? |

Thought you was going to ***** about them but I see it's just feedback.
I agree though, they are already balanced so the capacity should, in fact, be even with the heavy armor mods |

As a (related) aside, the Amarr logi suit does not receive its armor rep bonus with reactive plates, only with actual armor reppers. If you want to make the hybrid HP/rep plate worthwhile (aside from needing to rebalance the PG reqs) the Amarr logi bonus should apply to the repair granted by reactive plates. |
