Create a new variant of the LLAV that swaps out the turret for a mobile supply depot. Allow for refitting and resupply when all the regular supply depots are gone.

Spectacular idea. I can't keep track of how many times my team has beaten the reds out of the city, and their last act of retaliation before regrouping is to take out the depot. Would love to have an alternative that had all the uses of a normal supply depot. Not sure how to implement the fitting change, but that's why CCP doesn't pay me the big bucks. |

And I remember lots of times when I singlehandedly attacked a red objective just to hack the supply depot, restock, then run. |

CCP was already considering (somewhere real deep) a supply depot module. It has a potential to be game breaking though, so that consideration is really needed.
Having it as a exclusive feature on expensive hull (LLAV or something else) might do the trick, ppl would not call a cheap LAV every time they want to resupply.
But still, ability to change suit is VERY powerful, that also restocks your items, gives you forge guns where ever you've ninjaed yourself (without needing to suicidelink)
Previous suggestion was a HAV supply depot module. But, how about a LLAV with nanohive function?? Grenade spam controlled somehow, cooldown maybe. |

When they finally balance the LAVs then this would be a kick ass idea. (give WP for reps and resupplies) |

I was thinking about a nanohive like function as well. I'm pretty sure I've read ideas here where the repair function should be changed to a field effect around the LLAV since aiming it is such as pain. I was also thinking their could be a repair tool style turret so that the LLAV becomes a two-man operation.

I like the idea, but agree that it would be tough to balance. Enabling fitting switches might be too much to ask for. A powerful active module with a long recharge timer that acts like a wide area of effect nanohive would be very useful and not too imbalanced.
I would suggest at lest a penalty to the vehicle's speed or enough power requirement to cripple it somewhat in other areas. |
