This thread will die or be locked, and nobody will remember this, because the truth is, if you say Dust is dead, nobody cares, you're wasting your time, not that you have anything better to do but say X game is dead. People like you are a waste of life. Please don't reproduce, you'll make the genepool even worse. Mehhhhhh! Wrong! Just by all your fanboi reactions I can say that you know that game is dead. Notice no major corp or alliance has even bothered to post on this thread! that's because they know the game is dead. The publicity this game would have got by the EoN/LOI war is gone! Dead! And so is this game! Okay, why are you here then? No one cares what you have to say. I have fun in the game any time as long as I'm with a squad. If you don't, oh well, get out then. OP, we are a training corp that helps players better understand DUST before they move on to others corps (probably yours if you haven't noticed). I don't see any logic in bashing a training corp full of students. It's like a 20-year-old man dissing a 10-year-old about how weak the younger on is. |

this is more like the 20 year old telling the 10 year old to know his place when he only exists due to the generosity of others. Do they have to let you have that paltry amount of PC space? no. do they let you stay anyways when they could take it from you in a heartbeat? yes.

I had some epic battles with Hellstorm and I have to give you guys kudos. You came you fought us! You won some! We won some! You guys even had the honor not to use gaylocks and contact nades. Matches were what they were supposed to be;- gun game and tactics. The team who help it together generally won.
But with CCP and its inability to listen to the gamers and the leaders of the alliances in power have killed the game. There is no real reason to play this game anymore.
Pub matches are a joke. PC is done. Giving directors to steal corp wallets cripples a corp. Unlike Eve where pilots can do missions to grind out ISK with very high payouts, Dust matches are long, boring and monotonous. The rewards in the end do not justify the means. Why skill into proto suits when you don't have enough isk to use.
Eve fan boys: Dust is not Eve. Your lolevelogic does not work over here. With Orion and CRONOS destroyed and Hellstorm stepping out of PC, Dust I am afraid is gone to Dust.
It is really sad to see a game with such high potential be destroyed by the creators themselves who instead of listening to the people who care about the game listened to the bunch of morons that are led by the CPM.
Iron Wolf Saber: You suck and will continue to suck. You aint ever gonna get good and will always be the scrub you are.
Peace and Out!
PS: You may lock this thread CCP but the reality is the game is dead.

Dude, we understand the reason we received our piece of land and we thank others for it. I was talking about the OP specifically on how he is insulting my corp over it. That little piece of land we have is for training purposes only anyways and DUST University has no interest in galactic domination. I'm pretty sure he doesn't speak on behalf of his corp. |

One thing you need to know is that I am one of the biggest supporters for DU. With that said the first thing you should teach your trainees is how to provide feedback and take it too. That is the making a good gamer. Gun game comes next.
You say you want to avoid drama and yet your boys jump into the forum on a genuine post about how dust is a dead game. If this was a troll post wouldn't you think CCP would have locked this post. The very fact they moved it to the request and feedback section shows clearly that they see something in this post.
While the fanbois may not see this CCP gets the bigger picture.
Dust is all about war and the fighting. The meta game has failed. All the corps that got robbed are because they were robbed by trusted directors;- people who have been with the corp for a long time. No spying! No lying! Just plain and simple frustration with the leadership. And Dust takes it toll in the leadership. Some can handle it, some cant.
CCP has raped this game by focusing too much lolEveLogic into this game. I play Eve and Eve logic in Eve is fine. CCP needs to think out of the box here. A lot of suggestions were given to them on chat. Mavado, Kujo, Kain, Cubs, Laraunt etc etc have provided so much valueable input. I can say hardly 10% of those inputs were implemented.
However crappy stuff from IWS, Jenza and Hans were given higher priority. People who didn't have a clue what they are doing and prolly never will were given more importance. What happened to AWOXing? Dead? No one uses that anymore because that doesn't win you districts!
Having directors the ability to steal the corp wallet is the biggest BS of all. One person can make an entire corp not able to play the game just because the corps legs are cut off. You say that's new eden;- HTFU. Well **** that ****!
I want to fight and I want people to fight me. It comes down to that. LolEveLogic has no place out here in dust. Leave the meta gaming in Eve and let us fight our ******* battles on the ground.

In regards to AWOXing, it's not really dead. Earlier on before 1.2, it was just overly easy for someone to sneak in team killers in PC battles because no one had any control over who gets to stay and who gets kicked from the warbarge. Even the spies admitted that AMOXing was just too easy back then. Spies felt that they needed a challenge. They wanted CCP to implement controls that make it challenging for spies but not impossible. The kick-from-warbarge feature is the first step and so far people are liking it. After all, a true spy knows how to build trust and exploit it when the time is right.
Even with all the measures in place and all the filters provided by the corp leadership, all of that means nothing if at least one disgruntled director decided that he didn't like his corp anymore and conveniently has access to the "frakk-my-corp-over" button.
You may not see much meta gaming here in the forums or maybe even in the game, but that is what smoke and mirrors are designed for. To hide the true meta gaming and make it seem like it's almost non existing when in fact it's right under our noses and we are about to get screwed.
As for the suggestions made by the community compared to those suggested by the CPM, I'm not sure what to say about that. All I can say is that hopefully we'll see an official election system in place by the start of next year's CPM elections. That way, we can finally feel that we are being properly represented. Until then, we have to made lemonade when life gives us lemons. Although IWS and Hans aren't really lemons considering the help that they provided. Jenza I'm not sure. Nova Knife? I haven't seen him around here for a while. What's up with that?
As for Dust corps getting robbed by directors, that is actually normal and expected in New Eden. Considering that you say that you play Eve Online, you should know this by now. Of course, some of the defectors do it out of frustration, but that is part of the game and its nature comes with the territory.
As for EoN and others like them, I just want to remind everyone that no powerful corp/alliance stays powerful forever. If you look at Goonswarm Federation in Eve Online, even they don't expect to be around forever despite the fact they created one of the most intricate and most elaborate spy networks in New Eden. That is the nature of humankind. Powerful nations rise as they knock off smaller rivals, but the bigger they are the harder they fall. And as soon as they fall hard, the smaller rivals will come in and fill the power vacuum. |

Eve has zerg based game play. There is no skill involved in it. EWAR wins the WAR.
Dust is skill based where a squad of 6 good people can take down an entire team of 16 scrubs.
Zerging does not work with Dust and pros love zergs. More kills for the buck.
3 alliances have tried to displace EoN and all 3 failed.
FPS requires skill. No matter what people try pros will always find a way to make something OP. |

LMFAO @ Maken Tosch!
You do realize that most skilled corps have low numbers. For someone to infiltrate a skilled corp you would have to first skill up to their level which takes time. Once you skill up to their level you have to gain their trust. But lets face it;- no skilled corp is gonna make you a director.
Now what does that leave you with;- affecting the tide of 1 battle. You can affect only 1 battle before you are found out and kicked out.
Meta game being an important factor with this? LOLNO
