Hey,
So I'm a dedicated Gallente Shotgun Scout (if I weren't I would be a AV Support LogiBro - a REAL Logi - [looking at you Cal Logis]). Anyhow, I've been thinking about the way shotgun damaged is assessed (minus latency issues/hit detection problems). It says that the damage on a standard shotgun is 36 hp, which just seems thoroughly inaccurate to me - it might not be, but I just don't know how damage is calculated with it. All that being said - is it worth it as a scout to use a damage mod with a shotgun? Since we only have one high slot at proto, is it worth it to give up the 66 hp you get from shield for a 10% damage modifier on an already powerful but far from OHK shotgun --- the reason I ask is that I tend to die anyway the moment I'm spotted. Why not just increase the chances of killing someone from the back before they even see me.

I run a min shotty scout with 2 complex kin cats and a shotty... That's it.
I do this for the same reason you mentioned, whether I run a complex shield extender or not doesn't matter on how fast I die... Cats however are better than ehp's for scouts, they can't kill me if they can't hit me ;) |

Shotgun damage is listed per pellet.
Number of pellets isn't listed.
Would be nice if someone could work that out, but so far, I haven't seen anyone who could manage to work that out. Would be nice if CCP could share that info with us. |

Damage is per pellet. Last I knew there was 12 pellets in a single shot so multiply by 12.
MLT at 40 damage does 480 on a full hit for example. |

Other things we need: AV nade impact damage The stats on afterburners/boosts (boosts are the ground version) An explanation on the accuracy rating- it says the HMG is more accurate than the laser rifle, but even when crouching while aiming down sights and firing for an extended period of time, the circle is still slightly larger than that of laser rifles. |

Stick with the complex extenders. Instead, go for upperbody/ headshots & try to fit a SMG, Flaylok, or scrambler pistol to finish off the tougher enemies that you don't OHK. 66hp is alot, especially for a Gallante scout. |
