Allowed PS3 players to play with PC gamers. It connected two platforms way before dust 514 did. It allowed MODS.
Dust 514 premise is TWO different games sharing the same real time and universe.
But as the next consoles coming out are closer to PC that idea is not going to be original for too long. You guys ever thought that while dust tries to become something more on the ps3, others will take that idea but work with the ps4?
Even EVE is not immune, tho they have nothing to worry about from star conflict I think. being that eve players are those that love second job sims. star conflict gets rid of the "job" for the "fun" of space. So it's kinda like to different genres. don't think SC will take many away from eve.
Dust on the other hand.... Here we have a FPS. to which when the core mechanics gets fixed. will be a generic bare bones FPS game. On the ps3.

My question to you forum cheeky monkeys is WILL IT STILL BE ORIGINAL AMONG THE POSSIBILITIES THAT FPS GAMES WILL HAVE ON THE PS4?

Dust will forever be original if CCP gets on the right track of focusing on what was supposed to make this game original in the first place: integration with EVE Online.
Using my ship as a killstreak reward to get nothing in return isn't cutting it. |

Star Citizen is aimed at a different audience, and honestly, I'll be playing both EVE and Star Citizen when it comes out.
Actually, not to derail this thread, but that's another thing: what's with the gaming monogamy stuff?
Why is it everyone talks about games as if you can only ever play one at a time?
Hell, I still play Halo: Reach and WH40K: Space Marine along with Dust, Hawken, and Blacklight.
Am I really the only person that plays multiple games at once? |
