The digital view presented when aiming the turrets looks nice but the field of vision is severely hampered by the view sight and magnification. Suggest trying an iron-sight method and requesting player feedback.

As far as I'm concerned, any game that doesn't copy BF3 when it comes to door gunning does it completely wrong. |

It could be improved a touch but could we try and avoid iron sights?
We are thousands of years in the future, with everything from faster than light travel to nanites, and you want civil war era iron sights?. We can do better, something that fits the futuristic era that dust is in. A nice holographic interface perhaps. |

Honestly, I was going to post exactly that. But on reflection, it's better to give specifics in here so the there's no ambiguity and the CPM/CCP forum minders can determine exactly where we're coming from. |

Sure why not. I only propose iron-sights as a stand-in until something better can have time devoted to it.
The sights right now just don't sit very well. Situational awareness is severely hampered by the narrow FOV and the wonky dispersion on the rockets make the gunner positions almost pointless.
Additionally, other crew member who are not manning turrets should be able to fire their side-arms from the dropship. Like BF3.... |

Dropships are combat platforms in addition to simple transports. They should be used as such. |
