I have brought this up before but I want to distill my point:
Faction War battles in DUST have absolutely NO meaning to DUST players. The only difference between FW and a public queue is that it takes longer for the FW matches to start. There is absolutely no compelling reason to play them other than using your imagination to believe it has some higher meaning.
I am aware that it affects EVE faction war, i also play EVE. There is no way for EVE pilots to reward or punish DUST mercs, there is no meaningful two-way connection.
At the very least, CCP needs to implement some kind of increased risk/reward aspect to these matches to give them context and meaning for DUST mercs.
Don't fall for the marketing drivel. Yes it's "one universe" but there is currently NO connection as far as DUST players are concerned when it comes to FW.

Yeah, FW has been poorly implemented as of now, but honestly I'd rather have the devs work on more pressing issues than FW. It is riddled with problems and honestly I view the current FW as a placeholder for future developments.
First and foremost, as an EVE player, I do not want to warp into low orbit and wait while mercenaries accumulate War Points before I can launch my strike, especially when there are several Cruisers staring at me nearby.
Second, CCP really needs to quickly implement a way for mercenaries to relocate between systems. As it currently stands, mercenaries are restricted to certain systems and only fight on worlds with current battles going on. Mercenaries should have the capability to organize and attack districts on their own instead of waiting for one to pop up on the playlist.
Nothing is preventing us in space for organizing fleets and attacking contested systems, nothing should stop mercenaries from trying to do the same thing. If mercenaries had the ability to move to a staging system in Faction Warfare space, the same systems as the capsuleers, and perform concentrated attacks in the same system as capsuleers, there would be a higher incentive to do FW. |

FIX IT, PLEASE? this game has no connection at all.... i have not seen a single eve player on dust......and that fact that we have to play corp battles to see a little dot represent an eve player is stupid... |

I like playing FW mainly because I make more money ( you only make more money if you get top 6 ). I don't really look at the concepts, but i do find it strange how little it is connected to eve besides the changing in possession of land. |

In one of the past Dev blogs, they mention that in the future that if you side with one faction consistently then there will be a reward for doing so. Extra isk or salvage would be good. There was no time line mentioned but this is something they are looking at |

Yes CCP definitely needs to give Faction Warfare some love lol. "Sign up for a faction contract today, loyatly points will be rewarded." LIES!! Loyalty points, faction gear, better pay, more salvage. Three simple things to make Faction Warfare more interesting. And like instead of getting a reward if you lose, you get nothing at all. That way people will push harder to win... Or be assholes and do nothing so the other team will win :/ |

If you're not going to try leave the match, let someone else get in and try. If it has a larger reward then it makes sense to give you nothing if you fail to succeed. Push harder to win, even if it looks like you're going to lose. Because you never know when you can get an edge in the battle. Just gotta be smart about playing. |
