I mean how hard could this really be to code?
What possible negative effect could giving us the abillity to trade (dust to dust) possibly cause?
I just don't understand why this isn't already in the game? |

Because its number 1,287 on a list behind a pile of utterly broken BS that needs to be fixed first. When you have as many problems or missing features as Dust does, the workload spirals out of control so it appears to everyone that the 10 things they want fixed are never being addressed. So pretty much 99% of the people are unhappy 99% of the time.
Just look at Uprising 1.2, it fixed weapon ranges, awesome wonderful, much needed fix. Sadly its also sitting alongside about a dozen crippling game destroying issues that couldn't make it into 1.2. So in spite of 1.2 being a positive step it doesn't give CCP any serious kudos (which they don't deserve ... yet). |

By your logic then, what was the point of giving us the ability to transfer ISK (player to player) when this is some thing that could easily have been gotten around through the corp wallet feature. Why did this feature take precedence over player to player trading? Something that would have been far more useful in Dust's current iteration. Given how similar in nature these two features are why we're they not being worked on (and released) at the same time.
It just baffles me. I need to be able to trade all the useless junk from one character to another, so that it is not so useless any more. Also I imagine that player to play trading would also breath a lot more life into the game, as far as communal interactions goes at least. Far more than ISK transfers would anyway, so why was this not prioritized over the other? |

I'd rather they don't rush out those two features. Wouldn't want them to release a build that allows item duping :P. |

I don't disagree with you but there is so much to fix that for the next 6-12 months its always going to feel like the things you want are not in whichever is the latest patch. Yes, it blows, CCP are fools for letting this happen, but that's just the crappy reality of how life is going to work for the medium term future.
I don't like it any better than you do. I also have scribble notes of the 10 things that I hate with a burning passion that cause me to wish burning herpes on the devs but they are also different to the OPs wishes and yours and are lost in a sea of other things that other players/ the devs also want. |

OP, player trading should be in the game soon (not soonTM). Isk transfers was step 1. Corp hangars are a maybe, I'm not sure there's a need for them at all really, at least not right now.

What?
Most things in my inventory I have no desire to unlock or ever use.
I do have the desire to sell or trade all of the crap in my inventory that I will never use.
If IF i want to unlock something "new" (to me), I will train the skills for it, then go to the market a buy said item.
Player trading has absolutely no relevance to your statement whatsoever. |

Some economic reasons why can be seen in this fanfest video.
Others that are less economic and more resource oriented:
1) Whatever resource developed to work in dust2dust trading would be the architecture for Dust2Eve trading. Getting both right is important.
2) The UI for the database work should be fluid enough for PS3 players to not interfere too much with gameplay. A painful UI, that takes an hour to trade 5 million isk worth of goods would be a terrible addition to the game.
3) Trading would likely be based on the CREST interface, and this is just now in its beta phase. Presumably it will be open to more devices than just PC or PS3, like the Vita's Neocom and possibly other mobiles. Preventing abuse is probably a PRIMARY goal as a resource that could suddenly become infinite, could destroy both Eve and Dust.
4) Just think...which would help you want to play the game more, better weapon/suit balance, more accurate hit detection, better matchmaking, deeper map immersion/ replayability, or merc quarters trades...? 95% of people probably wouldn't stick around just to trade.

I just don't understand why this isn't already in the game? Oh god you have no idea how hard this is code safely with out exploits etc plus balance issues etc. Its a huge ammount of work. The concept is very simple. The implantation is very hard an exercise to try. Write out all the steps you would have to take to do it and post it of us to see :-) |

Everyone talks about game crippling problems, but they never say what they are. Also, if they are so bad in your eyes, why are you still here? Go play something you enjoy then come back later if you are still interested once these issues have been addressed. |
