ok so i was just thinking about how underused scout LAV's are, there isn't a real problem with them, they are just plain useless.
So what i propose is to give the scout LAV a built in (like logi lav infantry repper) miniature emp device. or give the scout lav an extra "equipment" slot for an EMP that you can spec into. basicly you can activate the miniature emp and say basic or lvl 1 skill gives you a 15 meter AOF EMP for 3 seconds, and a recharge time of 15, advanced or a lvl 3 skill would give you a 15 meter AOF EMP for 3 seconds and a recharge time of 10 seconds. and a proto or lvl 5 skill (or lvl 4 skill) would give you lets say a 20 meter AOF EMP for 4.5 seconds and a recharge time of 10 seconds.
What the EMP would do is 1. temporarily disable remote explosives ahead for maybe 10 seconds AFTER the emp is off or out of range 2. 50 shield damage per second to Vehicles and maybe 20 to infantry 3. if you time it right it will stop swarms, activating it exactly when the swarms are at your max range will stop all the swarms, activating it while they are at maybe 9 meters for basic/adv and 13 for pro will stop 2/3 of them and activating it less than that maybe would stop 1 of the swarms. 4. disrupt unmanned instalations (this would be a passive part of the module and would be built in) 5. if it's active it should be able to stop a forge gun for the specific fact that a forge gun is charged up electricity.
NOTE: it would not destroy uplinks and nanohives because of the trolling effect that it could be used for.
so what do you guys think, let me know if you think something is too OP or if i should buff it a little bit. I only suggest this because it would give the scout lav a role and a purpose, considering it has very little HP and very few slots this emp (and possibly other "equipments" would give a use to the scout lav. |

Anybody can post an idea for a special item that can be used for scout LAV, remember don't make it too OP and don't make it so complex that it would seem like it takes a bunch of CPU/PG cause scout LAV's don't have alot of CPU/PG |

ok so i was looking around on the forums and someone came up with an awesome idea for a built in scanner on the scout, but this scanner should also show the HP and class of suit each enemies have, it needs to be a list of stats on the side of the screen, that way you don't send your 2 proto friends against 3 guys that turn out to be proto heavies. but other than that be standard scanner stats. |

I think a built-in scanner would go a long way in making them at least occasionally used. The reason they're so underused is that they have way less tank than Logi LAVs and the only reason WP-wise to drive an LAV is to run people over, and that puts you in danger.
They need to fix Logi LAVs before looking at SLAVs. |

Give the LAVs a purpose you say? Seems like common sense don't you think?
Makes me wonder what the guys in charge of this sort of thing was/is working on as this could really be a game changer |

Scout Cloaks.
They hit, they need a reduction to the CPU and PG usage of them, and a bonus of duration. |

Like the idea of a scanner rather than EMP. It is afterall a scout. That or more rugged to get into highlands for sniper/overwatch position. |

yeah a built in scanner would be a good idea also, just something, anything to allow the scout lav to either get points (scanner) or stay alive (emp), the reason i suggested emp is cause most of the time i just drive my scout lav really fast and get visual identification on everything, mostly seeing if theres a dropship tank or another lav somehwere, rather than actually using a scanner. |

Oma goodness i just thought of a crazy idea.
Scout LAV only sniper small sized turret, it's a small turret that is a large caliber sniper rifle. |
