I wonder if the Caldair and Gallente have significantly better advantages and fixes than the other races? I don't know, but it looks like Caldari and Gallente are somewhat buff with their shield and armor tanking. The Gallente has no movement penalty when equipped with armors while Amarr gets the movement penalty with the same armors. Someone said that CCP favored Caldari and Gallente on EVE Online and always did their ship designs first before the other races, likewise for Dust 514. But I've seen a pattern on Dust 514 that sorta confirms this. The Caldari and Gallente in respective order had AUR suits before Amarr and Minmatar did in the Marketplace on the store front. Again, Caldari came first for the Mordu's Challenge with 100 kills (the easiest challenge) before the rest. I am pretty sure that CCP playtest with Caldari and Gallente before the rest as well before releasing builds and patches.
There's one thing I just noticed. Amarr is now becoming the new favorite. Still new, but growing. Maybe it has to do with the developers for Dust 514? The Templar Event and now the Commando suit were bestowed in honor to the Amarr. What do you guys think about this? |

Nah they just love the Caldari... the Gallente are an after thought.... do I have to say more than Armour tanking to make my point.
Us Amarrian will have to suffer for a long time yet before we get any semblance of balance, and vehicle support. |

The turret on the free Gallante LAV is pretty damn good at shooting out LAV drivers.....
And the women's assault/logi suit is great lookin.

Isn't it obvious? Even with vehicles, Caldari and Gallente get everything even the MCC. At this year's Fan Fest they showed the Amarr and Minmatar versions of what we already got, but when they showed new vehicles like they fighters they only show Caldari and Gallente. Caldari even gets to be the poster boy for the whole game.
Amarr is only getting recent love because based on lore they are the most involved with the implant tech.

Unlike the other three empires Gallente are an all volunteer force hence the few numbers on the field. Also soldier losses on the Gallente side has always been bad in the eyes of the public, but who cares if a drone or two dies? |

I dont remember reading anything about the Caldari forces being conscripts, yeah the adolescents all go to what is essentially military school but thats not really conscription and the soldier caste is by choice and outside the main castes that most Caldari belong to |

I'm not sure about the DS but I'd go with Gallente on that one. |

They still all value the means of fighting though, every citizen of the caldari state is a capable soldier if pressed into service when its needed. It is ideals like this is what caused the separation from the federation in the first place because it offended the Gallente sense of freedom. Also the warrior society runs deep in the state. Achuran (Japanese Descentants) are probably most to blame for this. |

Though I don't really think its subscription because most Caldari youths want to go to war do they not? Or at least they feel enough national pride and loyalty to join anyway. |

This is mostly correct.
Gallente sensibilities of freedom is along the lines of never forcing anyone else to do anything. Yet as liberal as they are there are some who are a bit extremist believing that their way is the only correct way and anything else even if it suits their culture and their lifestyle and those people are happy with it is utterly taboo, forbidden, and should be eliminated. |

Well maybe it's more about people's playstyle, I play EVE and most ships (especially now) have their own niche, so even though all four races have standard cruisers designed for frontline fighting, they may go about it differently. Maybe Caldari and Gallente playstyles are just more popular? Also as far as Gallente HAVs go, they have quite a noticeable advantage in tank vs. tank fights right now, I read on an earlier page someone mentioning them, I don't know who and I don't feel like going back to look.
Also, the Gallente are a bunch of hypocrites who murdered millions of my (character's) ancestors so I (he) will never forgive them!
