its essentially only a failure because of the absolutely atroscious player base who is eager to ***** and moan about certain aspects of the game, while on the other had exploiting those broken aspects by saying its necessary to compete....which is utter bullshit. Those then same people go off an troll the forums and cause general disharmony amongst the players, and now we have MLG style crap being touted by all the L33t corps of new eden....ever if all they do is spam explosive weapons.... we also even have people who are so radically pissed off by this that they actively go out of their way to spam and ruin the forums with their utter crap about other ****** FPS MMO games.....
face it the people who made this game suck are the players, CCP didn't hold up its end of making a AAA shooter but we cocked up the most by being the worst effing playerbase a game has ever seen... |

Naahh. The quality of the game is entirely on CCP. It's their first time making an FPS on a console and it's a lot of trial and error.
The only thing the community has done is make reading the forums kind of a pain. But really, that happens to any high traffic forum with little moderation or without some kind of troll filter. |

This describes just about every gaming community and is something CCP should have anticipated. It is CCP's job to deal with the community and separate constructive posts from the BS. It is their job to research what makes a good FPS game and implement those aspects regardless of what the community says and how they act. In fact even the community is a direct result of CCP's actions and any problems that rise within the community is CCP's burden to bear. They clearly hopped into the FPS bandwagon completely unprepared, believing that developing a generic console FPS would be a low-risk and effortless way to expose EVE to a wider audience, and were overwhelmed when reality hit. It is no one's fault but CCP's own. |
