So I guess you too haven't challenged your brain enough to come up with a counter against the FL yet?
If you spent less time whining and more time thinking, you wouldn't die to it as much as you make it seem. |

Just like a scout/med can't dodge you in a hallway or from far away...so what's your point?
As a heavy, you also have enough HP to take a full magazine of flaylocks unless they sacrifice their tank for damage mods...at which point you only need to sneeze at them to make them die. Also, have you ever heard about taking cover? It works!
There's always a tradeoff! |

RA Drahcir wrote:have you heard that the HMG hit detection cannot keep up with the strafe speed of mediums and scouts? this game is broken. It doesn't work! There's always something wrong!
So your "solution" to that is to nerf other guns? Even IF you are correct (and I don't think you are, especially if you bother increasing sensitivity), how exactly does one gun sucking support nerfing another gun??? |

RA Drahcir wrote:for one, the sensitivity isnt the issue, it is the hit detection. the only way a HMG can cause damage is if it sustains constant damage on a practically stationary target. talk to any laser or HMG user. the issue is that some crappy secondary (flaylock) outclasses every single weapon system out there.
It doesn't outclass all other weapons...I take it you haven't used the other proto sidearms? Both the proto SMG and SP are beasts!
And of course HMGs need some drawback. Are you seriously demanding on top of the damage output they also get the same quick tracking as lighter guns???
And again, even IF something is wrong with the HMG, demanding other guns to be nerfed just because you feel yours is underpowered is a ridiculously silly demand. |

I guess I'm terrible..... I'm okay with that. At least I didn't put SP into a weapon that isn't my thing and will probably get nerfed.... Try the prototype godlock. It's a whole different experience.
The AUR version is pretty much the same. Also, you get more kill assists than actual kills with it. |

I know...I know
I'm just really getting annoyed at the endless nerf cycle just because people are seemingly too dumb to adapt their tactics.... |

Mummy mummy - respec - ME WANTS NOW Prediction: You'll whine about the SMG next No. Contact grenades and flaylocks. Everything else I can take - even murder taxis I can handle. But these two weapons being added to the game, certainly in their current form was the act of a cretin. A handgun with a similar hitting power to a grenade launcher? Sounds ok to me
It only has 3 shots and sucks at range. Switch on your brain and come up with a counter.
I'll give you some hints:
1) Don't stand still. 2) Use cover. 3) Don't move in predictable ways 4) Use them having to reload more often to your advantage...I'll let you figure out how to make this work. 5) Keep your distance against a gun that is obviously meant to crush at close range. 6) Don't panic like a dear in headlights just because you lose 250hp in a single shot (same goes when facing a SP btw). 7) Don't approach a flaylocker in a straight line.
There's other counters, you just have to switch on your brain.
Like I said, I hardly ever die to flaylocks nowadays because I used them myself and therefore know its limitations.
The same goes for most other guns ppl claim are OP.
The only time something is really OP is if it's good at too many ranges which makes it very hard to counter...like the pre-nerf TAR. |

There is a big difference to using 'tactics' to counter a normal wepon, and a clearly unbalanced and poorly though out implementation of a wepon, which is what the flaylock is, particularly the core verson. That's it for me. Yeah. Also, trying to play the game by PTFO, you have no choice but to CQC. Also you have to remember most flaylock users just run around and jump in your face. Most of the deaths from a flaylock is from trying to capture a point or from ambush which is all CQC, and the flaylock does the MD's job easier too :(
A flaylock can only deal with one opponent at a time and then has to reload...a MD has not only massive range advantage, it can also suppress more than one opponent and doesn't have to reload as much. |

Flaylocks suck against shields too. You won't kill a decent caldari logi with a single clip.
But yeah, at super close range the flaylock wins 1vs1 against a MD user....but in return the MD user gets range and the ability to suppress squads. You give up both range and that ability when picking the flaylock. |

You give up both range and that ability when picking the flaylock. Yeah. What I'm trying to say is that no matter what, you will almost always face a flaylock user if you are playing the objective, e eryday... I play this game, run around the corner towards an objective but you have does flaylock, proto stomping scrubs killing me on 1 hit (FYI I'm gallente logi with 90 shield and 388 HP and yes I have been killed in 1 shot before). And those contact grenades lol.... my last experience was against a W.T.F guy, I think he was rocking proto too, that bastard killed me 6 times with those grenades IN A ROW. CQC is so ****** ATM and I'm a armor tanker too, but I ha e a chance to run away from a MD user Never escape from a flaylock user.
Keyword: SITUATIONAL AWARENESS! Don't just run at the objective blind, watch out for opponents and take them out before trying to go after the objective. Also, don't just walk at the objective in a straight line.
I often hang around an objective and if an opponent walks in straight line at the objective or simply goes there without checking for me first...well...using my SP it usually ends in "boom headshot" |
