A food for thought to handle some of the redline issues, that also is needed to take into careful consideration.
Suit Launcher - A deployable or fixed installation with the ability to launch suits to fixed or self selected locations on a map.
Suit Translocation ~Teleportation - I'm not sure if the terms are right for this one. But I'm at least referring to the ability for a suit to instantly warp from one location on the map to another part of it. Either deployable enter/exit nodes with a fixed set of uses or as a implementation on certain maps.
These are just prototype toughts and I would like to hear what you guys think about it? And while you're at it I'm sure someone sits on a viable New Eden scientific theory that could explain these phenomena. |

Well, CCP already said (albeit a long time ago) that they plan on one of the ways to move between planets to be just switching to a clone on that planet you have access to.
However, I'm not sure what they think about moving around a map that way. |

No it might just mess things up and enable a loosing team to take control over a map again swiftly. Just toughts, that need to be carefully considered if ever implemented. |

The possibility to move around in the way mentioned above, might just over enable loosing teams. But then again if both teams has the ability it should even out. Depending on how it gets implemented it will severly change meta gameplay though. Also I did not think in such a great perspective as you mentioned with translocation between planets. Rather movement between different spots on the maps. Either fixed installations like the CRU/Supply Depots/Turrets or a skill determined equipment. The lather might be impossible due to the size of maps, if not a squad is able to plant the entry and exit nodes.
Do you understand my thoughts? |

As long as vehicles in general can't reach them, then we're good. |

Well, that depends on if we say they are placed by players or a part of the maps infrastructure. |

I could see it being much suited as part of the maps infrastructure but I could see some trolling moments happening (ask Halo). |

Everything is bound to be exploited if implemented poorly. My guess is that they camped the exits?
But is'nt that also a part of the teams goals to secure means to win the battle. So to hold these points might be the key to victory. If I'm not interptreting correctly, please explain.

I believe what CCP meant by that is that if your corp controls a planet, you don't have to ride a war barge there (which you don't need to now, anyway) |

I'm playing devil's advocate because no one has came here yet to play the part.
So what I'm understanding, the point of having something like this is to get around the map quickly when your team has lost all of the points on the map and are unable to come back from being pushed into the redline?
We do have drop uplinks, dropships, and LAV's for these purposes, y'know. Why implement a tool that can shoot mercs out of a cannon or teleport them around the map when we already have the ability to get people from point A to point B? The only way to fix being red-lined is not giving up and trying to outsmart your enemy before your MCC shields are down, and not giving up the moment you are red-lined. |
