Like a few ppl out there I specced badly (not understanding what I was doing to some extent. I aplied when there offered a respec and was refused, I have since been arguing via email for a respec so I can fix the SP allocation. so here is a suggestion for the DEV team.
LET us RESPEC if we wish, but do it along the lines of Borderlands, that respec costs money to do so. If I cannot have the option to respec like ther players did for free, I would pay 1 million ISK to be allowed to respec my merc.
As it stands considering the sheer number of balancing/bug issues int he game,I am sure as hell not investing in anymore AURUM if I cannot fix the million or so SP that I messed up on. |

I'm not even going to bother giving you a detailed explanation for why this idea is opposed by players as your failure to do even the most basic research on this topic is telling me that you are not able or willing to have an objective, reasonable argument based discussion in the first place.
You can prove me wrong by using the search function, getting an overview over the state of the debate and providing a basis for discussion by responding to a few of the arguments from both sides. |

I read those posts and they are pretty interesting but I do not see a clear cut yes or no vote on it. All I want to do is respec the 1 million or so SP that were allocated due to either bad advice or my own mistakes when playing beta. I asked for a respec at the time when offered and was refused. Now with over 7 million SP I still do not own a proto build apart from AURUM so I can take part in corp battles.
I just want to sort the mistakes that Imade with my SP allocation. I dont see what is wrong with being willing to pay for a respec but I belive they should be limited to once per 12 months so you dont have uber AUR spending players doing the flavour of the month routine. I just want to balance my merc correctly so that I have more fun playing the game and can contribute more to my corp in crop battles or just by making enough ISK to donate to the war funds..
I am happy to have a rational discussion about this subject, it does not need to be an argument or have someone being "teh net cop" and laying down the law as they see it in response., just beacuse you dont agree with me, doe not make the entire DUST community feel the same. |

Is a useless bit of information as we don't know any details that might have led to this decision and we won't learn about them either since posting/discussion of GM correspondence is prohibited by the forum rules.
It is also incidentally irrelevant to the point even though i can understand the situation you are in. |

It was all over the forums, front page and dust chatter. There was no way you were refused unless you missed out. |

When did you apply for the final respec? Did you make sure that you sent the request via the email or through www.dust514.com/support and made sure that the petition is attached to your account and gave the name of your character? Did you also remember to submit the request prior to May 31, 2013? If you answered yes to all of these or at least yes to the deadline, then you should have received a confirmation letter from the lead GM telling you that your request is on the queue. By now, everyone who submitted the request should have their final respec by now assuming they met the deadline and received the confirmation.
If you are one of the extremely rare few who did all of the above and still didn't get your respec, I suggest getting in touch with CCP again and keep pushing. Use the support site to submit the petition.
If you did not receive the confirmation and you didn't meet the deadline, then you missed out and it's tough luck for you. Besides, there are already enough threads on the topic of respecs. We don't need anymore. I suggest you search the forums for existing topics and post your opinions there. |
