Why does it take so long for whatever team/teams to balance a weapon, vehicle, or suit? Is it one guy that thinks everything is ok or something like that? I think a lot of people would be satisfied if you experimented every week with a re-calibration of a weapon, vehicle, or suit. cause right now this waiting 1-2 months to attempt to balance something get it wrong and waiting another month is driving people away. Or worse 4 months of talking and still not even a tweak, I am talking about CCP BLAM. |

Every time something is OP or broken, they need to collect data from the servers first, to know what to fix... but yes.. is hard to believe that they need TWO months of data before they can do anything. |

I went on IRC to ask this exact question. They said not for a couple builds will we see anything. Not a ******* thing. They really don't give 2 ***** about pilots. That's why they've delayed the pilot suits for over a year now, and nerfed every vehicle hull and the vehicle skills every single build from the start. |

Dang. It has got to be a group of devs holding this game back. there is no way all the devs think that is a good idea. |

As we've all seen with uprising, changing the core mechanics of the game changes the balance of a lot of the weapons and equipment we use. There's no point balancing anything until you can see the full picture of the core game working as intended because every other thing you change will require everything to be rebalanced again.
There's a lot going on behind the scenes and if they try to put it all out at once we'll end up with a whole bunch of much bigger problems than just balance being off. |

Well, if you check out the dev posts search you'll see that's just a lie but it's also now the weekend and furthermore just because you put the word dev in the title it doesn't mean they'll think it's worth their time answering. |

Update: Basically what Django said, above.
It will be a never ending struggle. Every change triggers a butterfly effect, but honestly, Chromosome release was near perfect so I'm sure they can reach it again with Uprisings eye candy. Updates will be coming quicker from now on also.
On that note, I have begun to see how important it is, as others have said, to request a buff vs a nerf. A nerf will be more likely to trigger side effects versus different things, but a buff to one class or weapon will probably only effect that class or weapon. Some things will need nerfing I admit, but don't forget that the particular weapon you want nerfed is probably keeping even more overpowered classes away.
Er... I was gonna add to this but I will probably get myself nerfed. |

Granted fixing the core mechanics is a priority but having to see everyone use the same old weapon every game, every PC battle is getting really old. If you knew you couldn't fix the core mechanics soon why wouldn't try to at least balance some weapons out? |
