Sick thread. Why don't you make another. Also, you get racial and role bonuses with the assault which you don't with the basic. All of the stats are there for you to evaluate before you spend your sp, maybe you should do that next time instead of being stupid and whining on the forums about it |

Isn't this true with every suit except logi?
Basic light = scout
Basic medium = assault
Basic heavy = sentinel
Logi is the only one you need to spec into to get. Otherwise yeah, all your sp is going towards your suit-specific and race-specific bonuses. Complete waste of sp if you're not going into logi imo... I'd rather dump 2.4 million sp into weapons and modules than the vast majority of the level 5 bonuses from any of those suits. |

The game design is sufficient to indicate the attributes explicitly for each dropsuit and their associated skills, including that the basic frames do not have any role bonuses. The Minmatar Medium Frame M-1 description states "NOTE: This basic frame does not receive any role-specific bonuses.", whereas the Minmatar Assault Dropsuits skill book description states:
"Assault Suit Bonus: 5% to dropsuit shield recharge rate per level.
Minmatar Assault Bonus: +5% to sidearm weaponry clip size per level."
If someone does not have the foresight to evaluate the advantages, disadvantages and consequences of any particular action prior to undertaking it, they will receive absolutely zero sympathy or empathy from me, and will earn my outright contempt when they proceed to blame a system more than capable of addressing their issues with not much more than a little willingness to learn, especially when it is publicized in this manner on the forums. This situation is by no means the fault of CCP, and any implication to that position is utter dribble. If you make blind assumptions then how can anything but disappointment be expected. The fault here is with no one but the OP. |

The Racial bonus us a Godsent.
The amount of times I can sweep kill people with my with my Laser Rifle......
In anycase its a huge step up and not a waste of SP. Its racial bonus benefits laser tech encouraging you to fight like an Amarrian.... if you aren't using scramblers or lasers then you are doing something wrong. |

While the op should have done his homework before blindly skilling up, there is a point that's been made nanny timer that the assault suits shouldn't be just the same as the basic frames with a couple of little bonuses. Same goes for all the suits. Bonuses aren't enough - specializations should be more special. |

I suppose itGÇÖs your loss if you donGÇÖt see the value in racial bonuses. My assault suit costs less than the basic medium frame, my shields recharge 25% faster (albeit IGÇÖd like an armour bonus being Gallente and all) and hybrid weapons use 25% less CPU so I can fit more on an assault suit than on a basic suit. Oh and the assault suit looks so much better than the basic suit :) |

If you claim that there are a lot of people complaining. It can only means. It's the dev's fault. Why create 2 identical suit with a different name. It is just pathetic and sad to see people will find every excuse / reason to support a game that is not worth spend a dime on.. Aur, Mercenary pack, Bullshit pack. what a gimmick. Glad I didn't buy any. |
