Well one excuse is that I want to go past 500 million ISK and reach a billion ISK.
But the real reason is that its a rush to run crap gear and win versus enemies with better gear.
Now when I go out there I usually die if anyone frowns in my general direction but its a rush to go mano a mano versus a HMG heavy proto and live with 1HP left lol.
A lot of times I just die but then other times I live and my kdr goes very green for that match.
I guess sooner or later I may move up to basic but its hard letting go of fits that cost 1k, 2k, 3k or even as high as 6k. |

It is surprisingly fun to kill people with militia-oriented fits, and easier then most say is, especially if you have your shield/armor bonus skills upgraded.
For an example: Take the Caldari medic, add a shield extender, fill in the rest of the missing slots and voila: 670 ISK per suit. |

Yep!! except that much of the cost of my suits is the AV grenades that I am forced to use in GTA 514.
Plus some folks get upset when they were running proto and they go down to fits of less than 3k cost. |

My basic suit is about 9,400 isk. I could get it down to 5000 or 6000 but it would really gimp my killing power. |

I run Assault-Medic Exile and I add militia nanohive and AV grenade.
Sometimes I leave the stock militia damage mods that come with the suit or I replace them with dual militia shield extenders.
My other suit is minmatar militia logistics with exile and militia mods it keeps the costs down.
And any kills I get I just attribute them to very good luck.
I guess I will go basic suits once I have a thousand of each assault and logistics varieties and the same number of basic mods for everything from kin cats to shields and melee mods. |

I think it's a real testament to the point of the skill system that you can earn your SP, run militia and have a good time. |

1 billion??? I have only about 25 mil (I spend a freaking lot) and my fits are around 37k-130k a suit, and I only die like 1-4 times. |

Once in a while I bust out a sica or soma, then I really have to tiptoe around AV, but it makes you that much better when you finally decide to bring the madruger out |

Gallente medic is just such an easy full starter fit to run.
I recently made a fit that is over 5.5k - I feel it's unnecessarily extravagant....
I Personally do not see the point of someone under 5mil (like me) investing in dropsuit command - in the sense that I'm hopefull CCP will be releasing more and more racial variants for suit types and weapons and lots of changes to mechanics will be coming through as well. Right now, I'm enjoying using my std flux grenades and std AR/SMG/Shotgun to kill Caldari logis and it makes me smile known they would have to kill me at least 3 times more than I kill them to cause me the same amount of ISK damage. |

Im kind of the same way. I am doing proto suit last so my game wont be dependent on armor or the duvolle. I have a very long way to go. Atleast another month and a half. I am like a samurai committed to mastery of the sword.

AR's are not glorious.... HMG/SMG maybe.... using a Scrambler Pistol is the most glorious way of fighting and Nova Knives |

i like to fit suits so all the cpu/pg is used up. i got complex ,ADV, and MLT gear on many dropsuits.
I got 51 kills earlier with a GEK on a basic frame. sure i died 8 times but i had a ton of fun |
