Daddy's off to fight in another one of those bad wars again instead of raising you. For that I'm sorry. They are calling this The Great War and your daddy is in the middle of it again. Journal Entry #2 (First Day)

Hey Babygirl

Daddy's ok. The first day if the conflict didn't favor us. The Hellstrom troops of the 2nd Shock Army were defeated and Internal Error was to get the survivors out. The Hellstrom survivors we're mostly quiet we the escorts just looked at them with holes in their suits and bloodied bandages around their broken bodies. There was an occasional plea for water from the men unaccustomed to pain. As we look and see the MCC's fall Internal Error flew in on dropships to support the Hellstrom's rearguard who are getting battered by airstrikes and assaults by EoN soldiers. This defeat will not go unanswered by the Hellstorm forces; Daddy is going off to fight tomorrow and assist the war. This is going to be a long war. Love Dad

Dear Quickgloves

This war is different from ours, I mean if you asked me on the 1st day I would have said it was the same; but no this one is different. This goddamned snow, this goddamned rain, and this hellish cold. Who would want to live here, in such miserable conditions. I don't know how long we've been our here but the sun never sets and the weather don't let up. Yeah, in our war we fought for something we had a goal. This war I'm fighting on a rock with no strategic importance, I'm on this desolate land because EoN here. Damned roaches!
As we advance further inland they take shots at us from the rocky mountains at surrounds our coffin. EoN was so kind to leave us the nails in the form a explosives. They continue to hit us with contact grenades and flaylocks, damn they hardly us a body to bury. I have no desires ending up like that, but if I do I hope its quick, I don't intent to scream. I'm so tired of fighting. I'm just waiting for the next rotation, hopefully I can sneak home. If not I'm not sure if I can survive this one. Sver maybe home but it seems I've became more of a merc than a soldier. Quite shameful, a Royal Guard to a merc, I just have to hold out and make it. I have too.

You seem to have lost your creativity... the sver stories where good, but these are half done and couldn't be farther from the truth. Especially since most battles between LoI have included gentlemen agreements not to use contact nades or flaylocks. Sure their have been slight breeches of that agreement on both sides but from what I have heard it has been nothing more than a slight nuisance.
