Wars affect everyone. Last I checked, when I logged in, I was not affected.
The only people this 'incident' affects are the people who are in those two alliances - specifically, only the people who participate in the PC matches.

I'm not saying that it is bigger than getting functional mechanics, I also understand that it won't be an overnight change. It NEEDS to be changed though, there NEEDS to be some framework designed so that we won't forever be entrenched in Dust as JALS (Just Another Lobby Shooter). There NEEDS to be a plan for open world, free-form Planetary Conquest combat. I don't care if each local has a hard cap of occupants, ideally if there is a hard cap, there are measures in place to prevent it from being a sea of bluedots cockblocking any attack by virtue of keeping the cap full. I was originally interested in Dust by the thought of open world, free roam FPS PVP, I still hold out hope that I will one day get to partake in this. As far as telling him to "Go and play pubs all day", well, what else do we really have? We've got pubs, pubs where you get to pick if you're Attacking or Defending (which you can barely get into anyway) and then the gated community pubs where you need to pay the cover charge to deal with network connection problems, soulcrushing lag and a circlejerk of self-proclaim elite fuckwits who think that their ability to exploit FOTM''s and focus fire entitles them to call others "terrible players". So yeah, I'll go play pubs while you and everyone else in this game plays pubs despite what them try to tell themselves.
If I jump behind a group of five guys lined up on a railing, and just start picking them all off one by one until there all dead, only to have a 6th red run, literally, right by me only to get shot down by me a second later, can I say there terrible then? |
