Chapter 1
Great Wildlands
Sovereignty of the Thukker Tribe.
Hunter ran. The aftermath of the explosion did nothing to stop him from pushing himself further, making his muscles ache and his body scream for rest. Above everything else, the images in his head, of fire, human screams for mercy and molten metals, drove him to make a push through the crowded forest. Every Step he took was every second wasted, which forced him to make his way past the large trunks of the Rataai. His eyes, ears and sense of touch constantly scanned the environment, taking in new information, adjusting his body weight and his direction faster than any Amarrian capsuleer.
Suddenly, he found it, 20 feet away to the northeast. The adrenaline in his system augmented his eyes, allowing him to see the bioluminescent marking. Ways out the forest, to the east, thatGÇÖll make him take the overhill pass towards his village he thought.
However, when he saw the refugees, trudging along the path with small bags of their belongings he felt a terrible premonition dawn upon him. Instead of the trees, this time he scanned every face he could see as he scrambled up the hillside. Some were unscathed, carrying their children or carrying the wounded, the mangled or the Dead. Some had limbs torn from their proper place among some of the bodies, covered by bandages or by cybernetics trying to keep them from bleeding out. He stopped suddenly, staring at one of the refugees. The slimness of the physique and the rough ness of his soot-covered face suggested he was a brutor-Thukker Mix.
GÇ£MaGÇÖlkai!GÇ¥ Hunter shouted and the brutor reacted spotting him. GÇ£praise the ray, your alive crazy bastardGÇ¥ MaGÇÖlkai responded, he stood as Hunter caught up to him.
He was straight to the point.
GÇ£Whats going on?GÇ¥
GǣGǪthey torched a few villages before ours, my brother.Gǥ
It took him almost a few seconds before the features in unter's Face suddenly changed, from one of a frightened curiosity to a sad anger.
GÇ£What?!?GÇ¥
MaGÇÖlkai hung his head, continuing to give Hunter the grim news.
GÇ£GǪ..SheGÇÖs gone hunterGǪ sheGÇÖs getting ready for the final battleGÇ¥ he said, eyes full of remorse, tears threatening to free themselves.
The news felt like a piece of Hunter withered up and died, he took a small step back and gritted his teeth.slightly shaking his head. fighting back the tears as hard for him, it was against their custom to shed tears but he was fighting a losing battler within himself.
GÇ£whereGÇÖs everyone going?GÇ¥ He asked after a while of silence. MaGÇÖlkai didnGÇÖt respond, but pointed behind Hunter, towards the horizon.
Turning around, He saw Planetary transport ships landing or taking off from the south. Supply ships, not meant to house thousands of his people.
GǣmaGǪGǥ Hunter said to himself, and then his body started to tremble. Looking back at the top of the hill his motivation to endure had returned, and without hesitation, he began running towards the top.
GÇ£Hunter! DonGÇÖt go back! Its suicide!!GÇ¥ MaGÇÖlkaiGÇÖs voice was drowned out by the cries of the refugees as another explosion was heard, forcing the people to duck down instinctively, leaving him to look on towards the top of the hill. As he climbed, Hunter felt the heat arise after he took the bend. A few other tribesman manned their weapons and hurried up along side hunter as they neared the top of the hill.
over the hillside, Hunter found himself Slowing down again. The bright combination of red , yellow, orange and some purple flames engulfed his vision; Over where the village once remained. Others looked around for the invaders but Hunter stood still, mesmerized by the sheer amount of destruction and chaos surrounding them.
GÇÿ its goneGÇÖ he thought, his heart tightened as a few pangs of guilt overwhelmed his senses. But in the back of his mind, the Thukker part of him awakened. HunterGÇÖs soul made the calculations, the invaders were nowhere in sight. His eyes darted around the village perimeters, looking for anything, any sign of golden hulls or flying dropships, signature rumbling of their Disciple-class marauder tanks. He scoured the mountainsides for any trace of enemy snipers, but found nothing but the strewn out bodies of his people.
but then his mind forced him to notice the extreme heat beating him and the others. The heat was unbearable for some of the tribesman, forcing a few on their knees, gasping for air like a fish out of water. Hunter felt the heat as well, feeling the heat boiling his skin exposed to the atmosphere.
GÇ£Orbital strikeGÇ¥ Hunter thought, remembering a former Thukker soldier speaking of, how he described the aftereffects of an Amarrian laser strike from orbit during the uprising; the feeling of your skin drying out, exposed to a mix of residual electromagnetic Radiation.
Then he slowly looked up, past the fumes of smoke emanating from the village, past the stars;
To reveal a single unknown ship, lounging in the stars
Hunter couldnGÇÖt understand it, but a faint voice called to him at that moment. It had no emotion, no warning, and without hesitation. the voice gather at his ear and uttered a single phrase.
" HideGÇ¥
Realizing this, He began to shout at his fellow tribesman, reality beginning to distort his vision. A few realized the same thing hunter had known and reacted. But it was too late. A glowing flash of unholy light rained down, blinding his vision, sending his body flying out of the hill. As he rag-dolled in midair, the only things as he remembered before falling unconscious by the blast was the sound of screaming, as if the planet was tortured by the damage inflicted. Images of a loved one filled his vision, and then the ground rushed up to meet him, embracing him as he fell asleep. |

Its interesting. I can tell it isn't edited yet, but I'm sure once you edit it that most of the errors will be fixed right up. But even with errors its not difficult to read. I know only part one has been posted, but I feel you may be selling yourself short by only describing the after effects of an orbital strike and then having the main character black out right after that when a real orbital strike hits. But I'll definately read the next part! |

Good stuff.... just one niggling this as an lore fanatic..... as much as unholy light fits better in this sentence....
" A glowing flash of unholy light rained down, blinding his vision, sending his body flying out of the hill. "
.... if the amarr ob striked someone it would be
"A glowing flash of Holy light rained down, blinding his vision, sending his body flying out of the hill. "
But dude I cannot wait to read the rest, I do my amarrian lore and now seeing it from the Minnie perspective it just fantastic |

stay tuned, a new chapter is ready to be released within a day from now, just one question; how would you, a cloned mercenary, react to G forces strong enough to kill a normal human being? |

I assume the drop suit would grant some sort of protection but if the G forces are really incredibly strong I would be pulverised to a red squishy mist.... |
