Probably because Amarr gear requires the most skill to use and it's dual tanking. And right now they literally have to give laser rifles away because they're so nurfed. |

Amarr already had their own event, at least this one contains something everyone could use and not just amarr. |

Well going by the Lore; Mordu's legion is comprised of Gallente, Caldari, and Minmatarr. Mordu hates the Amarr and all that they stand for. If you notice its all Minmatarr, Caldari, and Gallente gear.
Or CCP was too lazy to set up events for the different "races" |
