So i was driving my tank and out of no where around 2k-3k of my armor drops, this would be just dandy with me but it didnt show where the shot was from, no noise and no projectile being launched, i got away before the invisible bullets of death got me but seriously wtf is going on???? |

i have met swarms that go ninja and make no noise and cloak but this was really different, no marker on where the hit came from and not even a tick when it hit |

I provably hit you with one of my potatoes ..I think.. hard to know with the kitten reload animation in the center of the screen. |

swarms are hitting vehicles without either rendering visually or creating ANY sound whatsoever, till the moment of impact/explosion
aka, too late.
This is happening because the unit firing the AV is already outside the render limit, and so objects associated with it are excluded from presentation.
I wish I knew what CCP's real bottleneck was when trying to balance performance and gameplay here. is the code unable to be optimized further? Is their team too small? Is the Unreal engine a severe limitation? Can the sever not handle so much, is the PS3 being pushed beyond it's limits? Have they given up on Dust after realizing it's a failed venture due to their technologies?
Is dust being secretly developed in parallel on the PS4? Do they intend to ever switch engines back? What accounts for the seeming lack of progress and inability to add a single thing without tons of bugs and preformance issues? What's with the constant leaping back and forth between patches to improve gameplay Versus performance and back? What pressure did they feel compelled them to "Release" a game with 15% final content, 4 maps and a trillion bugs rather than not?
idk What is going on here but the more you look at it, you begin to doubt if even CCP knows what they're doing, what they intend to do, and what they're able to do. |

I was playing the game... but i got disconnected 5 times in a row.. so now i talking about potatoes.. i may also watch a film any minute. |
