As of now this game is not what was advertised. Bombardments from Eve aren't necessary as they are given to everyone. The bonuses to Eve through PC are not worth the added costs. The comms are the only solid link between the two games other than FW, which is nothing new for Dust and has limited participation in Eve, and as of now there is little news on any new interactions soon to be implemented.
CCP, I bought a PS3 to play this game because I wanted to experience New Eden in a new way.
I have yet to feel like I'm in New Eden.
The mechanics and gameplay have improved greatly and I still have fun playing, but I'm slowly losing interest as this game is not what it was advertised. The draw to this game was it's connection to a vast persistent established player run universe. The changes take time, but I see little has changed on the Eve side to accommodate Dust. The whole attitude towards Dust, Eve side according to forum posts is generally, "why should I care?", "if they won't benefit me, they can only make things worse" Most of the talk on these Forums should be about Dust, but too little is done within the context of both games.
We need a forum dedicated to both games. We need devs with both games in mind at all times, working exclusively on the interaction. In two years, we've only gotten comms, useless OBs and bonuses. No more Caldari Prime publicity stunts either, it just emphasizes how little control and interaction the games actually have over each other. I don't expect quick fixes either, but I expect some real interaction, from Dust, and especially the guys over at Eve.

The Eve forums don't need our spam atm, maybe some shared sections but our GD and Feedback, Bugs, Training, War Room, definitely need to be separate forums. |

I think a joint forum section would be huge.
I think one that could work really well for a merge or joint section would be the Intergalactic Summit. As long as people follow the rules we are all characters in New Eden.
A section geared for Pilots finding Mercs to work with and vice versa would be good as well I think. |

this goes to the core of the issue between dust and eve. dust needs to be solid and take baby steps to integrate with eve (ccp wont let happen) but so far so lame. Eve nerds don't want to be dependent on dust or be forced to use dust players and they have been vocal about this.
The second thing is the player base. ccp cant but out more PC-esq stuff when the current amount of districts of 257 is to many. There are 50K plus districts potential in nullsec alone. Even if ccp let dust players merc for nullsec there isn't enough of them to fight over 250 districts now.
This whole game needs to be rethought from the top down. At the moment ccp has learned their lessons the hard way by promising everything and delivering **** for a game. CCP gave shanghai to much freedom to make dust bad and didn't pay attention to the fact that they were building a crap game.
so more integration? best to turn this game off because and not even bother afking because it doesn't have long term chance in hell |

I would really love if you could fly a ship, a dropship or whatever, from planet into a orbital station... Any station, in Dust. Even if it was not linked to your actual Eve account. And it just got you into merc quarters again. It would just be too cool.
... Also, I am a damn genius... How about an orbital cannon that one team can capture for orbital strikes?
Anyway, cooler stuff is planned already. But who can wait?

No there is no doubt we mean about as much as space bugs to Eve pilots. They wont give a care until CCP makes it such that the ONLY way for Eve pilots to own districts/planets and mine them is to use Dust Mercs to take them over we will continue to be worthless to them. |

make it so a dust corp/PC districts is the only methods of producing essential materials for building the next super.
remove all orbitals that aren't done by players on the eve side.
let eve players produce gear that's better then things we can get on the market.
these are all things that are essential to the link, but most importantly I don't expect to see any of this **** for al ong time, because we can't even trade to each other.
all good things in time. |

Sorry but dust can be the only source of existing eve materials. Eve law don't ask. Now for new stuff I could see it happening but there still isn't enough people as the districts we have now are to many

Well, the interesting thing is I've actually gotten several reports of Dusters working out deals with pilots to arrange for OB support or OB counter support, so you can't just look at it through the lens of Capsuleers hiring Dusters. |
