Its a pic from the first map I ever played on this game. Take a look at those table top Mountains. Ahh the dropship couldn't even tilt in those days and you sat in a chair that moved with your turret

I really wish they had a "classic map" game mode. It'd be buggy and entirely optional, but it'd probably be a blast.
I never got to play on that map, and it always looked interesting. I miss the "DUST Bowl" Ambush map from Chromosome. It was a brutal laser fest, but I loved it. Wonder what it'd be like with Uprising shooting mechanics.
I miss the old original Manus Peak Skirmish map, too, where B was high on a cliff with a tower behind it, there was a whole sniper mountain ridge, and A and C had buckets of blood spilled trying to take and retake them. Somehow I'd always end up getting into a snipe and counter-snipe fight with Sleepy Zan, usually losing. (Yes...I used to snipe.)
Sure, they were unbalanced in one fashion or another. But damn were they fun. |

Don't really know why they made it so you could hack from anyside of all the installations now. are we injecting some sort of nanite tech in the damn thing that hacks it for us or something lol, makes no sense vs using a computer like on objectives |

Agree, I loved the old way like objectives. It would make those portable shields coming out a lot more handy to if they brought back the one point hacks. |

Proximity emitters.
However the map isn't coming back anytime soon. Its not compatible with the current tech, its a bit of a miracle biomass and communications is still with us but their age does show. |

Ok, but why only for subobjectives it's anywhere and prime objectives its in one spot? |

And thank Jebus. As a main HMG heavy, these are absolutely my two favorite maps for a shootout. Specifically Communications, which kept getting dropped out of rotation and then added back in. I see it every 2-4 games these days and I'm happy every single time. |

bleh I am going have to get permissions to repeat some things said concerning the subject. Subjectively I can point at the road map and blame that, not that it won't stop new maps being made but it may stop 'new' things from popping up. Until current roadmap is dealt with. |

I remember when the TACNET was lacking at that time. It was easy for me to simply tuck myself into the frame of the CRU next to the console wearing a Minmatar suit which blended in just fine with the CRU. Add a shotgun to the suit and you got yourself a troll in the making. |

I'm really hoping one day SOONGäó that there will be a map that is a totally urban area. A cityscape. It could be in one of those city areas we see off in the distance.
MOUT training will finally pay off!
Even better maybe one day we can have innocent bystanders. If you shoot them you get a court martial debuff! |

Those were fun times, every time you were at the farthest subojective you had to watch the upper plateau for grenade/re throwing, AR shooting mercs. Also you had to actually enter a turret to hack it and use it, making you a harder target to hit for others in the process... |
