I will stick with the PS3 for at least another year. But it's not because I fear lousy first batch machines* or can't afford it, but because I will kinda be abroad for a year after the summer. So I'll pick one up once I get back and can give it some true love.
But I won't ditch my PS3. It stays, no matter what. I never get rid of old machines.
*this first batch fear is a bit exaggerated, coming from this gen. It's not really a hard history of it. It really just stems from this gen. The XO and PS3 were crap quality for a pretty long time after their release, like 2-3 years. The XO suffered in short time, PS3 in long time. Reasons were an unfortunate combination of technology now having evolved to the point where they really can generate heat (before 2002 this was barely even known), thus giving the possibility to putting too hot components inside, insufficient cooling and bad quality soldering. Don't think that Sony and Microsoft made a profit on this strategy. No, it was a risky chicken race which both lost. It costed them billions. Lessons learned and soldered fixed. All technology is from the shelf and tested. |

-XOXO ASIDE from waiting one year and getting it for a 100$ cheaper??? Yeah I cant think of a reason why I would want to wait...... That aside though, I think a good thing about waiting is that ill get avoid all the early on glitches and hiccups new consoles seem to have. Anyone remember the red ring of death??? Oh wait.... that was M$ not sony..... my B.
Man I keep reading this several times now, where are you guys from? (not a personal attack) Are you all living in a cave or under a stone maybe? If my PS4 get broken (even after 2 years), I have the right to throw it back in to the face of the shop and demand a repair for free and if they can't do it, a new one. The very most time the shops just send them back to the company and asking for repair, and 90% of the time, the company never bother to repair, they just send a new to the shop, and the shop give it to me. Waiting a year to save 100$? Man, thatGÇÖs like 8.33$ saving per month (!) omg! Boy ooh boy! IGÇÖm rich now! If someone says that he canGÇÖt afford a PS4 I completely understand that, not everyone have the level of education to earn enough money to pay for the live style and an expensive hobby, I completely understand that. Sometimes people just have bad luck and **** happens in their live like getting sick or just not finding a job, but thinking that a 399$ console will cost 100$ less in just a year, you MUST be kidding me! This console is not even released and already sold out in what, half USA? Yeah, I completely see Sony lowering the priceGǪ

Yes, they are both in the alpha right now, and they look already more finished than Dust514, more polished, more thought-out. If one of these games comes before Dust to the PS4, CCP will have it harder. |

Sony said that it's gonna be like the PS2 where it goes on for 10 years with more new games coming in. There's still plenty of good games left for the PS3 that I haven't even played yet. I'm just gonna wait until PS4 becomes cheap like dirt, when all the PS4 boxes collects dust on store shelves. How about you guys?
No no no. The difference can be greatly more than just grapchics. The overall game could benefit like more players, more vehicles, larger maps, and overall just more content and awesomeness. When Dust hits PS4 I'll jump right on it. |
