How come in EVERY single map in this game there are no trees? No lush? No waterfalls, no nothing!
In that regard I think it would be a seemingly decent idea to have these here & there. Maybe fight in a forested area, who knows. |

Agreed, CCP could come up with new map designs with this as far as maps goes. |

Flowers & Friends - I guess the first iteration was the grass in Uprising and trees will be added soon hopefully. I have a feeling they're trying to improve the engine & framerate and gameplay mechanics before releasing this, but I agree Dust really needs foliage. |

I'd like a map with an actual mountain. The old Manus Peak, doubled in height, snow capped, huge waterfall going down one side, cave system inside the waterfall to access the null cannon on top of the mountain.
Volcanos. Ravines. Crevices. Broken cities. Overgrown cities. Ruins. Giant ruins. Midget sized ruins. We're in a universe where anything is possible.
Hell, CCP should just go on Minecraft, generate a random world, select a part of it they like, and make a map based on that. |

I believe one of the Devs mentioned that they want to "master" their current maps. I have no problem with that but if they could connect these maps together to make one huge map with a new mode that takes along time and is much more exciting that would be great. It would be even better if they gave us those jet fighters at the same time. |

how about less worry about trees and more focus on the lack of buildings/ buildings with interiors, and by interiors i mean places with doors and stuff where you can defend with a heavy, which was their original role, a suit that shined in CQC and defended key location, hence their CQC weapon and strong melee. also a place where squads duck under cover from PS/ABs
though it would be nice to have forests filling out the barren space in the maps my guess is they are not going to go in that direction, rather they'll have random trees everywhere.
The planets we are on are Temp. planets, you know, forests, water, grass, stuff like that. but given the map sets, it would of been better if CCPs said/put us on Barren planets. |

You know what else would be nice? if we could take an elevator up to the top floor of a building then go up a ladder or up some stairs quick to get to the roof so we can kill those snipers that got on the roof with a dropship. |

Before there wasn't even a shrub on field. Now you have a tuft to redline snipe behind. There are day night cycles now.... Although the coolest thing was the wrecked titan and falling debris. Was so cool looking I think half the deaths that day were from people looking at the scenery. lol |

Right now we have what, 5 maps, and 6-7 large sockets? 2 maps have no variation, and the sockets on the others are interchangeable I think. I believe there is something close to a 50% chance or better that you can play 6 or 7 times in a row without playing the same exact thing. 2-3 more installations/sockets and 2-3 more maps will push that to like a 95% chance in 10 games pretty soon.
If you think about it if you were them, what do you think would be more advantageous to design. A manually drawn tree/flowers layer for every map created, requiring a whole additional design review, or a procedurally generated engine that creates its own layer based on a specific rule set?
I'd go with procedural because it would hopefully take less manpower in the long term (5+ more maps out). |
