Okay I've made an online ticket and that didn't help much as they told me to clear the cache and if that didn't work to uninstall/reinstall and that didn't work. I replied to that saying it didn't work and have yet to get a response so I'm posting this and hoping that someone can help me out with this problem.
For some reason the video I made didn't record my audio so I'll explain it here and then you can see it in the video.
Basically my game is freezing and unfreezing multiple times when not in combat. The neocom and market are extremely frustrating to use as I have about 5 seconds of freeze and then two of unfreeze where I can move around the menus. Once again the sound failed to register in the video but I point out the freezing and show how it affects the menu.

This started happening three days after updating to 1.2 at first I thought the servers were just bogged during triple sp week because it would come and go but now it is constantly like this. Everything I've done has failed including rebuilding databases, ps3 file restores, etc;
It's not the internet either, I believe it to be something with the ps3 or a maybe a compatibility issue as I have an old model PS3 with the disk drive broken that my friends play DUST on when they come over and it works perfectly fine since the 1.2 update. This doesn't affect battle although it does glitch once or twice during battle but I can still play for the most part just can't edit fittings/navigate the menus very easily.
Since I started playing DUST two months ago I play nothing else and do nothing else with my PS3 so the only way anything could have gone wrong was with the update.
Please help, any suggestions on what I can do? |

Forgot to mention this is my third post on this matter, which is why I made the video as so far I've seen no one else reporting a similiar problem on the forums. |

I have that exact problem n don't know what to do anymore... I tried rebuilding my database on my ps3, restoring the system files, and also completely erased all my ps3 just in case anything is corrupted... and this game continues glitching.... its so frustrating because this is the only game that I play on my ps3 now since I got bored of everything else. |

I am also having a porblem with te game freezing up. sometimes it is like the video shows, other times it is a full system freeze.
Yesterday I replaced my PS3 hdd, fearing that it was my hardware. The problem continues for me still.
I only freeze in merc quarters after a battle, or in the war barge pre fight. It is getting iratating tbo. 1 in 4 matches will crash before or after. Even after a fresh install on a fresh hdd. My internet is 30mb down 5 up with a ping of 40ish. |

A few possible fixes though.
Never run your PS3 when the Air temperature is above 80F/27C.
Second clean it out. Make sure then air inlet isn't clogged with dust, or cat hair.
If you are technically oriented than check out iFixit.com for guides to open the case to allow more cleaning.
If you are Really, Really technically oriented then remove and replace the thermal paste under the heat sinks.
The older PS3 versions (like mine) would heat so much they will warp the mother board. This can cause cracks in the solder for some chips and are a real bother.
Also, Never replace the laptop HDD in your PS3 with a Faster one. 5400RPM is the correct speed as faster also draws more power and generates more heat.
SSDs are a very good replacement. No moving parts, faster and they draw much less power.
