If I stick 4 Carapace Armour Hardeners onto my HAV, and activate them, will it be invincible for 60 seconds? |

No that's the cooldown and there is a stacking penalty for using multiple. What people do is rotate between them. |

The Cooldown is 10 Seconds I think.
But if I have 4 of them on + My Passive skills.

Without the stacking penalty and ignoring passive resists:
100hp incoming damage with 25% hardener becomes 75hp of damage taken. The next 25% hardener reduces that 75hp by a further 25% = 56.25hp damage taken, and so on.
100hp x 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 = 31.64hp of damage taken for each 100hp incoming damage. So this leaves you with about 68% resists, not 100% as some might expect from just adding the percentages. |

A little something about resistance I copied into my iPods notes a month ago about stacking.
" Order of additional modules of the same type goes: 100%, 87%, 57%, 28%, 10.5%.
However, remember that diminishing returns are applied on top of the stacking penalties. This means for 15% and 30% modules the numbers work out as follows:
  1. 15.00% and 30.00% 2. 26.09% and 48.27% 3. 32.41% and 57.12% 4. 35.25% and 60.72% 5. 36.27% and 61.96%
Note these numbers are not considering any bonus to resistance from skills. " |
