From what I understand deployable turrets are going to be a thing eventually. What I think would be interesting as a counter to them, not to mention snipers and tanks, would be an equipment item like such as a deployable shield that when activated would create an energy barrier dome within a radius of the device. It would then prevent all weapons fire from entering AND leaving. However, would not prevent enemy troops from physically passing through the barrier to destroy the device. This could enhance some strategic elements with the Logi's setting up a defensible forward base with spawn points and nanohives all protected behind a defensible shield wall unless overrun by the enemy.

last time I checked, there are actually going to add deployable shields as an equipment item. |
