when creating a corporation if your ticker is taken (if it actually was or wasnt idk), the game will give you two chance to change it, after the 3rd attempt to creat an original ticker, the game will take your 1590,000 isk and then tell you that you dnt have enough to create the corporation.
please address this ASAP. |

I too have had this problem I want to make my corp. I have the skills and 2 mil ISK but then it says you have only 390000 so I went to a battle it then went back to 2 mil so I tried again same problem but I have notice that the 390000 is increasing with every match now I love this game but you have got to fix this problem or have where you can setup a corp. online or something just please fix it. |

Hi,
The way this works is when you try to create a corporation money gets taken aside while the corporation creation is in progress.
If the creation of the corporation fails that money gets repaid. I have checked the account history of both the persons in this thread and this is what is happening, no money is being stolen.
What might have been happening which caused the concern of the people involved is this.
scenario A
person A has just enough money to create a corporation and tries to create a corporation. money gets removed and a notification from the server tells the client he now has less money. person A gets an error on creating the corporation and the server repays the money to person A's account. Before the server has the chance to inform the client of the new balance change Person A tries to create a corporation again, but now the client thinks it doesn't have enough money to do the transaction.
scenario B
The notification from the server of the new balance is not being delivered to the client . This would be a defect and would cause the client to think it actually has less/more ISK then it actually does. But as the server is the authoritative source on the ISK balance no ISK would be missing, but some client logic might fail( dont bother the server with a request if we think we don't have enough ISK to complete the transaction).

it is a known bug, I had reported details on it a day or so ago.

Cognac, You can find steps to reproduce in my thread along with some other details that may help you find the defects of the creation process. https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=93210&find=unread

Quick update on this, we found a bug today where it was possible for the client to get confused about how much money you actually have when the wallet changes in quick succession like in this scenario. We also found an issue when validating the corporation ticker on the first page of the corp creation screen.
We have a fix ready for both of these, our QA is going to make sure it is all good tomorrow then we will likely deploy them early next week.
Thanks for the bug reports everyone. |

Thank you for the quick fixes as well. i appreciate your repaid response and informative posts.
[b] as a final note: i was able to make the corporation today. before i was using ISK that was transfered to my account. today i earned the 1.6 million ISK through battles with the account i wanted to make the corporation with. as a result i was able to create the corp.[/b[
so, evidently using transfered ISK won't work you need to earn the ISK you are going to use to make the corporation. |
