I'm thinking of making a Gallente HP tank, it could be either Assault or Logistics. I'm not sure which one would be the most effective and one with the most survivability available to me.
What's the better suit? Why? What types of modules should I focus on besides armor modules?
Thank you for stopping by. |

Hi Clips,
I think it depends on what kind of role you want to play.
- Gallente logistics suit is in the top when it comes to equipment usage, also at lvl 5 you get +5 armor/s for free. - Gallente assault is good for weapon CPU reduction. The general assault bonus of shield regeneration seems to not be very useful for gallente since they do focus more on armor plates/repairers.
Regarding the mods, you should probably use basic or enhanced armor plates together with armor reps. Damage mods in the high slots. |

I see, so I will get the best out of my armor and my suit with the +5 armor/s bonus the Logistics has? I'm usually a R&G (Run & Gun) type player myself, but I also do Logistics. From what you told me Logistics fits more into the 'tankish' role that I'm looking for, is that correct? |

Forgot to mention one drawback of going logistics, you will have a slower movement speed compared to an assault suit. |

Okay, one question, besides reduced item PG & CPU requirements are their any other benefites outweighing the Logistics Gallente? |

Not to mention I play Minmatar a lot, and every single one of my fits I need a CPU upgrade, is it the same with Gallente? |

You might want to skill into Dropsuit Electronics. It'll provide a boost to your total CPU pool and might render that CPU upgrade module unnecessary.
All logi suits gain that bonus 1 hp/s per level. It's not specific to gallente logistics. Gallente logistics however get that 5% reduction to equipment fitting requirements per level.
If you're considering skilling the logi route just for extra equipments, you can always just skill level 1 logi as that standard level suit has 3 equipment slots, unless that's not enough for you.
For a general comparison between Gallente Assault and Gallente Logi
Assault suit vs logistics: + Higher movement speed + A sidearm slot + Higher base eHP + Higher shield recharge rate - One less low slot at proto level - No "native" hp regen (in other words, you'll need at least one armor repper) - 4 Less equipment slots at proto level; 2 at standard level - Less CPU/PG for fittings - Higher time before shield recharge kicks in
WIth those, you can also add in the bonuses each suit's skill provides and see what you want.
Of course, I might have overlooked some things so feel free to check out what each suit provides on your own.

This makes it much clearer, +1. So far I'm leaning towards Assault, a higher eHP is what I was looking for actually.
Let's say I equip:
- 2x Complex Armor Plates - 2x Complex Armor Repairers - 1x Enhanced Shield Recharger
Maybe that would be good for an Assault suit? Or are there better alternatives? |

Might want to stick with basic plates or at most enhanced plates. A complex armor plate has a 10% speed reduction. Personally, I'd hate moving any slower so I would never go past basic plates myself, but that might just be me. You might not mind it.
I would prefer to see an extender rather than a recharger in that high slot of yours. It's not going to be boosting your recharge rate by much (assumption), and that tiny bit of extra shield could save you.
Only slightly modifying your build: - 1 Complex Extender - 2 Basic Plates - 2 Complex Reppers
In the end, your fitting is up to you and what you prefer. Make a couple different suits and test them' see how they affect your play. Does one fit not have enough eHP for you? Does another move too slow? Do you not want the extender/recharger and would rather just have a damage mod? |

That makes sense, personally I run around all over the place so speed might be an issue. However, I can bear with it since this will be an eHP build.
Once again thank you, Rei Meix.
Anything else I should know or am missing?
