I find it odd that a rocket launcher is less complex and draws less power than knives. |

Sounds like good ole minmatar tech. They always been skimp on power consumption. Then again Minmatar makes some of the worst batteries, the one with the rust top. |

Flaylock is a crude chemical rocket pistol that probably launches the rocket in a very destructive manner to eject it out of the pistol probably ripping a compressed gas chamber apart which may explain the noise it makes when fired.
Most of the energy it would need is already pre-stored inside the weapon ammunition itself.
The warheads may need some guidance from the suit's onboard computers but thats about it.
Now versus the Caldari Technology, Caldari do not use compressed gasses to launch their missile tubes but a railgun like fashion instead. Which is why there is a very short arming period before the rocket/missile kicks up speed and fires off and doesn't sound like anything like a missile launcher as a gunner firing the weapon.
Majority of your minmatar weapons wouldn't consume a good deal of power. If power is indeed used its not usually for the use of the weapon directly, but handling of it, such as powering up shock absorbers or overdriving suit's myofibril servos. |

It seems closer to artillery to me, like how tremor is rocket assisted. It would be odd to me if every suit had built in guiding systems when in most cases it would be wasted, compared to having it be a reason for a weapon to have a larger than average CPU draw. |

A handgun that is more effective than a heavy weapon ....is not unbalance at all...perfectly normal, nothing wrong with it, right ? |

Lets be real here, because of the low PG, its the only sidearm you can fit on a proto assault with proto in every slot. There simply isnt enough PG on theese assault suits. Its the only viable sidearm option for some of us..
If you change PG on Flaylock, be warned, you will launch a shitstorm...
(if you wanna nerf FL fine with me, I support that, but dont change PG unless you buff assault PG by +10) |
