Who else is having fun with them?
So after Capin my SP's I had a few spare SP's to put into something so I said WTF and dumped them into these things.
I put these things on my BPO Logi suit and started running with them and man are they fun.
One thing I wish CCP would do for us is give us a little SP's for using them like the repair tool, or maybe get like 1 SP per death of a scanned enemy clone. |

I have the protos skilled and like running with two: the 200m one and the 100m 15second one. |

If you put WP's on these they will become the FOTM and will be labeled OP and CCP will nerf them.
On a side note its kinda sad that no one is talking about these things.
You should change the title to Flaylocks are OP or something and then people would actually read this. |

I'm really loving the quantum ADV scanner, 16 second duration means ez-mode prefire play. I have no idea why people don't realize how borderline gamebreaking on-demand 100% uptime targetable active scanning is, especially in such a team-based tactical game that still has ~1-2 second TTKs. In any other game, scanners of this effectiveness would get banned as hacking because if you've got fingers your gun game becomes uber-pro-perfect, because any idiot can pre-aim and corner hump their way to victory. WP for scanning isn't even necessary; it should easily net you a few, if not several, extra kills. The 100m range works wonderfully with a TAC.

I think about these from time to time... but I don't have a whole lot of slots to spare... maybe after I max out the scout suit and won't be paranoid about not having a dampener I'll open up a space. Lots of competition for the space though... maybe kinetics once I get the fitting skills higher. |

I recently skilled into the Caldari Logi suit and since Caldari don't need armor repairs I usually have a scanner with me. They are great tool for hoarding blueberries in public matches.
I think there should be a small WP reward (10 WP perhaps) for having a scanned enemy killed, but some restrictions should apply: - The reward is only granted if the scanned enemy has not been detected in the 10 seconds before the scan. - The reward is only granted if the scanned enemy dies within 10 seconds of being scanned. - The reward can only be earned every 30 seconds.
This system could possibly even work for passive scans and visual identification.
Regarding being a feature of the month: In this scenario during a 20 minute battle a player could potentially earn 400 WP by being the first to spot 40 enemies during the battle that all die within 10 seconds of being scanned. That sounds fair. |

SP for scanning is on the roadmap. I suggested it way back in codex, and they said then that they'll work on it.
However, the scanner itself is incredibly useful for a ninja. If you want to take someone by surprise, you scan the area to see where everyone is facing. |

I got a "Scan Prevented" (or something similar, can't remember) once, is this related to the scanner? |

Am I really the only one who uses it as a conventional slayer's tool? It seems to clear to me that that's a good idea, since you get no WP from just the scan, and it pairs perfectly with the Tac AR due to its range and low ammo consumption. Any weapon works though, and some epic plasma cannon trolling or perfect MD harass can be done this way. You can get enough scanner-assisted gun game to slay CalLogis with a starter fit, even if your skills are mediocre at best. Why? Because seeing through walls makes you better.
The fine art of EZmode corner humping: 1. Get the quantum scanner. 2. Scan the enemy. 3. Slay people with 2x your tank by abusing the fact that you can fire literally the instant you come into view, then strafe and be behind cover again before their human eyes can react. 4. Repeat 3 until you're bored of automatically knowing where threats are. |

I have AS at level 3 but haven't really explored their usage yet. It is one of the last two skills in DS core upgrades left to max. I'm totally excited about electronic warfare though so look forward to having a play with these. |

That probably means you avoided detection by a scanner, thanks to a reduced profile. Though I cannot confirm.
Scanners are certainly underrated. Guerilla warfare is turned upside down when your team knows exactly where to hit an enemy group. |

I've taken quite the liking to using an assault rifle on a scout with a scanner....it's actually....::Gasp:: fun.
Aside from everyone being on hoverboards, anyways. I've had some epic CQC matches against shotgun scouts, we reload so much |
