Posted something on this earlier but didn't get a response. Is anyone else suffering from menu lag? I'm trying to figure out the cause. I have two ps3s both with DUST loaded on them. My older model PS3 has no problems with the menus while my newer PS3 has major lag.
It's like you hit down and nothing happens, you have to hit it repeatedly to get it to move, the same with the x button. I'm hoping it's just server bog from triple SP weekend but what is confusing is how my other PS3 in the other room has no problems. There's no problems in game, just when using the menu.
It's really frustrating and started after the 1.2 update. It makes putting dropsuit fittings on suits a nightmare and navigating the menu is extremely frustrating. I have done a System File Restore on the PS3 and that fixes it for one game but right after I play a game it's right back to the laggy menu.
Anyone have any suggestions/advice? |

Also it's not my internet as I have a very solid connection. It also seems to bog my PS3 down, making it's menu laggy as well. Anyone know anything on this? |

Still trying to figure out whats wrong, I can tell now that it's temporarily freezing over and over which is why my buttons seem lagged. The videos in the screens behind the player continuously freeze and unfreeze every few seconds. Maybe a frame rate error? It freezes for like 6 seconds then unfreezes for 2 where I can press buttons on the menu and such. Again this is only during the menu and dropsuit fitting setup. It also seems to lag the entire PS3 when accessing it's menus but once DUST is closed everything goes back to normal. So I know it's DUST related.
Again, I have this on another PS3 in the house and it's not having this issues. It's a first gen and the one I'm on is a much newer model. Please help! |

Had huge lag in fitting screen last night. Had ordered my dropsuit to restock. Nothing. Ordered three more restocks. Nothing. When i got back after a minute or so, i have noticed the restocks were all successful. But delayed a lot...

That's actuallly been a problem for quite a while, this is just total freezing of the PS3 and then unfreeze. It locks up for 5 seconds then unlocks for 2. During the two seconds I can move around the menu during the five second freeze I can't do anything. |
