So, it's been a couple months since CCP Blam! asked us to discuss vehicle balancing with him, and still no response from him to our, literally, hundreds of posts.
I don't know exactly how close the Council is with the Devs, but it'd be great if ya'll could ask him to reply to his own sticky post.

they seem to disregaurd the importance of our vehicle drivers and its disheartening....
I have a post of my own requesting a vehicle lock mechanic that so far has fallen on deaf ears.
perhaps the CPM can get behind it?

I wouldn't mind vehicles being crap so much if the devs would just tell us that they will be crap. im so unsure about it all, so i have llavs, gunlogis, and maddys. now that everyone has proto AV, i specced into callogi masshole mode. adapt or die, i guess. time to go get the mass driver nerfed again. haha. |

Getting some feedback for the vehicle users is really becoming essential.
This thread is another example of where the lead Vehicle guy could be of a great help to our discussions.

I won't even get into what those poor DS pilots have to go through.
We want answers, but I think most of us would settle for some of the design philosophy behind some of these decisions so we could help them come to fruition. |

Elusive isn't the word we should use. The lack of feedback is disgraceful. The entire vehicle community is getting increasingly agitated and frustrated the longer we're ignored. Which has been far too long already.
Elusive? You're kidding right? At what point then is it ok for us to get upset about this? Another month? Two months? Six? I think we're passed that point, we've waited long enough. Limits have been reached. Elusive is no longer acceptable. |

At this point, given that most recent post that refers to a potential nerf to armor tanks, we really could use a little dev attention before the panic gets even larger.
Now, I realize that these things get posted on a Thursday, and that no one at CCP does any work until Tuesday, but it would be a good idea if whomever is in charge of vehicle development send someone out with some info to allay the fears of tankers that one final nerf is coming to shuffle us off the playing field completely.
I don't expect a blog, or any other crap like that, as it wouldn't give us any real information anyway.
What I would really be surprised by, and what I think would be quite beneficial to the community, would be for someone associated with vehicle development to clarify what that post actually meant, and when the alleged "fix" is due.
Not allowing the community to spiral out of control on supposition is a good thing. So advise CCP that some info here might be helpful.
Also, please restrict IWS from posting in vehicle threads, he doesn't know what he is talking about at all, and his opinion is not only less than worthless, it is counter productive to good discussion. His participation in any vehicle discussion is a recipe for regression.
As someone who has a 12 million SP tanker AND a 12 million SP heavy, I feel confident talking about both sides of the vehicle argument, so until IWS can compare from that type of perspective instead of "I have a few SP put into everything", then do the community a favour and stop interfering in threads where there is a potential for good feedback.
Finally, I don't give a **** about what potential big changes might be coming in 1.4. Especially since there has been no request for input from the community on the changes, I am expecting just as badly balanced a mess as we have now.
So if the vehicle devs want to make real progress, tell them to get to work interacting with the community, and not through people who have no experience with vehicles. |
