Your forums are the only forums I have ever been on that are so...free! So free to voice so many things.
We can all agree that most of the **** posted on these forums aren't exactly adoring praise, but CCP has the balls, the morals, that Gallentean ideaology of freedom to let us be and say as we please!
These forums are truly free for us to voice our opinions without the oppressive policing of the parent company that owns the game and the forums.
I feel like I can truly say what is on my mind. We can all say what is on our minds without fear or worry of being banned or persecuted by CCP.
There have been those that CCP has dealt with as such, where they have drawn the line, but unlike so many other companies, their line is the highest of them all!
I know many of you have had bad experiences when your fervor for your opinions about the games you love have been met with consequences; where the boot of oppression was stamped upon you for your differing beliefs.
CCP is not this boot.
They welcome the discussion. They embrace this community that most often times is so full of hate. They endure the punishment, and for that, they and their game, OUR game, is all the better.
Recently, I have had some bad and unfortunate experiences with some forums of games I deeply care about and post passionately. However, there is that day when you have to say the truth, or when your message is harsher and more trollier than it needs to be. I was banned, expunged, thrown aside. All discussion ceased. I was deemed a criminal. A terrorist against them!
My ideas, my way of life was not welcome. Understandably, this company didn't want this type of gamer; this type of discussion.
CCP knows how to tell apart what the words and the threads mean. They let the trolls stay, because they know and recognize that today is especially rough and you don't feel like mincing words. They understand the frustrations that emanate and pour out of our hateful spew. It's not them we hate! It's this game we love so much that makes us all so crazy!
CCP recognizes this, and like loving and understanding parents, they let us be. They endure, so that through it all, once we have vented, some form of discussion may prevail.
Freedom of speech and ideas...
CCP holds these things truer than most... |
